(Minghui.org) I am a young Falun Dafa practitioner and I participate in making truth-clarification phone calls to China. I learned to make truth-clarification phone calls under the guidance of another practitioner in July 2021 and have been able to help people withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its organizations. I spent a lot of time clarifying the truth on the phone during my summer break, and many people quit the CCP and its organizations.

Our coordinator informed us that we needed to make phone calls to Xi’an, China during its lockdown. I hesitated and didn’t know if I should join that team or continue with my routine phone calls to different parts of China. When a practitioner showed me a video of the people in Xi’an crying for help, I decided to join the team and make phone calls to Xi’an. 

People hung up on me throughout the night when I initially made the phone calls. No one was willing to listen to me. I was discouraged and had second thoughts about continuing with the phone calls. I thought about how devastated the people in Xi’an were, and I developed righteous thoughts. 

I continued making phone calls the next night and the results were much better. Though no one agreed to quit the CCP and its organizations, some were willing to listen to me explain the truth about Falun Dafa. I was truly happy. 

My regular team needed manpower on the third day. So instead of calling people of Xi’an, I resumed making regular phone calls to people in different parts of China. Of the 10 people I called, five were from Xi’an. Their words were sad initially, but after listening to me talk about Dafa, one of them wished me a Happy New Year and told me to stay safe. He said, “Thank you for calling us. You have given me good news.”

Many of my attachments surfaced during the process of making truth-clarification phone calls. I had good results if my cultivation state was good, and on the contrary, if I was not as diligent, the results would not be as ideal. 

I also had the fear mentality. I would feel scared making phone calls each time and always doubted that people would pick up the phone, quit the CCP and its organizations, or be willing to listen to the truth about Falun Dafa. My mentality of fear grew stronger each day and the results of clarifying the truth on the phone were not good. 

I was unable to have a clear mind about what I was doing. Clarifying the truth on the phone was an important and sacred project but I did not give enough attention. My mentality of fear got so bad that at one point I was scared to even pick up the phone.

Master said, 

“Fear can cause one to make mistakes, and fear can cause one to lose a predestined opportunity. Fear is a death trap on a human being’s journey toward divinity.” (“Pass the Deadly Test,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress III)

I corrected myself after reading this passage of Master’s teachings. I have met with many tribulations and made mistakes during the process of making truth-clarification phone calls. I was fortunate enough to have a veteran practitioner guide and encourage me during this time. 

He said, “As long as you have the heart to save people, that is all that matters.” This is the reason why I can persist. I hope that more young Falun Dafa practitioners will join truth-clarification phone calls. Time is limited and we need to save more sentient beings.

I would like to end my experience-sharing by quoting a section of Master’s teachings.

Master said, 

“Dafa disciples are no doubt working very hard. And that’s because the historic responsibility entrusted to you and that you shoulder is so great, and your historic mission dictates that you must, at this critical time, shoulder such a historic responsibility. Dafa disciples came about precisely at the last stage of the cosmos’s cycle of formation, stasis, degeneration, and destruction. Which is to say, whether it be living beings or material things, this is when everything has arrived at the last and worst point, with the manifestations of things being the most complicated and with differentiating good from bad or righteous from evil being the hardest. During such a time, it really gets immensely difficult as Dafa disciples set out to shoulder the mission entrusted to them by history. When I say that Dafa disciples are extraordinary, it is because in a period such as this they have come to save sentient beings, help Master rectify the Fa, and fulfill the mission that each is to personally fulfill—and that is what truly makes you extraordinary. No era of history can compare.” (“What is a Dafa Disciple,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. XI)
