(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Xiuyun Imprisoned and in Critical Condition
Ms. Xu Xiuyun was detained in Liaoning Province Women’s Prison and is now in critical condition.
2. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Zhengwei Arrested and Detained
Mr. Lu Zhengwei was arrested at his workplace on December 14, 2020, and has been detained for more than a year. Right after he was incarcerated he went on a hunger strike. His current situation is not known.
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Tairong Arrested
Ms. Sun Tairong was arrested at home by officers from the Nangang District Police Department on the morning of January 20, 2022. Her home was ransacked. Her personal belongings were confiscated including a computer, a printer and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
4. [Qian’an City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners including Ms. Wang Haina from Qian’an City went to the Liujiaying Town Market in Lulong County and were arrested on the morning of January 20, 2022.
5. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fu Xizhen Arrested
Ms. Fu Xizhen was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Qiaotou Town Police Station. Ms. Fu was taken to the Wenquan Police Station. Her home was ransacked and anything related to Falun Gong was confiscated. Ms. Fu was found to have high blood pressure during the physical exam and was released that afternoon.
6. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Guihua Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Guihua from the Yantai Development Zone was arrested and detained in the Development Zone Detention Center.
7. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Huiru Arrested
Ms. Yang Huiru, 64, was arrested at home by five officers from the Xinhe Police Station on the afternoon of January 18, 2022. Her personal belongings were confiscated including 16 amulets, 6 truth clarifying materials, some weekly magazines, and four copies of Hong Yin. Ms. Yang was taken to the police station and was transferred to the detention center on the afternoon of January 19, 2022. She was denied admission and was released in the evening.
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Du Missing
Practitioner Du (first name and gender unknown) lost contact with the family after Du took a high-speed train in the North Railway Station of Weifang City on January 19, 2022.
9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Zilan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Liu Zilan from Tangshan City visited her daughter in Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province and was arrested by local police on the evening of June 28, 2021. She was detained for 10 days.
10. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Deqiong Harassed
Ms. Zhao Deqiong from the Shunqing District was harassed at home by Shiyou Community staff members on the morning of November 26, 2021. She was pressured to sign a document, which she refused. Her husband was then pressured to sign it on her behalf. Ms. Zhao was also photographed.
11. [Beijing] Song San and Zhang Arrested
Song San (gender unknown) and Zhang (first name and gender unknown) from the Dujia Village in the Yanqing District were arrested by plainclothes police officers on January 12, 2022, for distributing truth-clarifying materials on the street.
12. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Liu Rong Arrested
More than 20 officers from the Xincun Police Station in Dongchuan District went to Ms. Liu Rong’s home on the afternoon of January 14, 2022. They ransacked the place and confiscated 54 Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and about five media players. Ms. Liu was detained for two days in the Dongchuan District Brainwashing Center. She was then taken to the Kunming City Detention Center on January 17, 2021, but was denied admission. That evening, she was released on bail pending trial.
13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhuang Hongai Arrested and Detained
Ms. Zhuang Hongai from the Xinzhaizi Residential District was arrested on January 3, 2022. She was held for 15 days in a detention house and was released on January 18, 2022.
14. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Lingshang’s Home Ransacked
A group of officers from the Xinqu Police Station went to Ms. Meng Lingshang’s home on the afternoon of January 19, 2022. They ransacked her home and confiscated one Falun Gong book, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and a desk calendar. They also photographed Ms. Meng.
15. [Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qi Xiaoping Imprisoned for Seven Years and Six Months
Ms. Qi Xiaoping was arrested on May 15, 2014, for talking to people about Falun Gong and was later sentenced to seven years and six months by the Zhongjiang County Court.
She was incarcerated for seven years and six months in the Chengdu Women’s Prison and was released on November 14, 2021.
16. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] The Case Against Ms. Guo Enhui Submitted to Court
Ms. Guo Enlui in her 70s from the Luyang District was arrested at her home by officers from the Lianhua Police Station in the Economic and Technological Development District on the morning of April 7, 2021. The case against her was submitted to the Shushan District Procuratorate in October 2021 and then to the Shushan District Court in December 2021.
