(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Du Hong, in her 50s, from Jiang’an District, was arrested at home by seven or eight officers from the Laodong Street Police Station on the morning of September 9, 2022. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated anything related to Falun Gong. Ms. Du was taken to a brainwashing center.
Ms. Feng Xiaoyan, in her 50s, from Jiang’an District, was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Laodong Street Police Station on the evening of September 10. Ms. Feng was taken to the Wuchang District Brainwashing Center.
Ms. Zou Ruijuan, about 52 years old, from the Fenghuangwan Residential Community, Jiangbei District, was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Yuzhong District. Her home was ransacked on April 6, 2022. Her case was turned over to Jiulongpo Procuratorate.
Ms. Zhang Yumei, in Qingzhou City, was arrested at home, and her home was ransacked on September 15, 2022.
Two officers from the Chengshan Town Police Station broke into Ning Shijiang’s home at 3:30 p.m. on September 13, 2022. One officer had a video camera, and the other rummaged through boxes and cabinets in different rooms looking for Falun Gong materials. They called in two more officers during the search. They confiscated two computers, three printers, over ten boxes of printer paper, several bottles of printer ink, three photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and artworks which contained “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” that were displayed on the wall.
In early September, officers from the Chengshan Town Police Station went to the homes of practitioners Li Tianfen, Yuan Xiaojing, Yao Ruirong, Ma Ling, and Tang Funa to harass them.
Mr. Zhang Henghai, 68, from Yanjiazhuang Village, Qiujiadian Town, Taishan District, was arrested by the village Party secretary, the village security director, and officials from the Taishan District Political and Legal Affairs Committee on August 26, 2022.
Mr. Zhang was taken to the committee for brainwashing, which was referred to as legal education. In groups of three, these people took turns pressuring Mr. Zhang to sign documents related to the “zero-out” campaign targeting all Falun Gong practitioners in the area. Mr. Zhang refused to sign them. He was taken home after 10 p.m.
Previously, this group of people forcibly brainwashed Ms. Niu Qinglan, 50, from the Ningjiajiezhuang Village, Shanggao Township, and pressured her to sign paperwork.
Five police officers broke into Ms. Gao Lifen’s home on May 18, 2022. The leading officer held Ms. Gao down and restrained her. They confiscated three photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books including Zhuan Falun Volume II and Hong Yin II, and 300 copies of the Minghui Weekly publication. They then took Ms. Gao to the Tengjiao Town Police Station for interrogation. They forced her to sign the interrogation transcript, and then took her to the Rongcheng City Police Department. The officers told her that due to the pandemic, she was being temporarily released. She has returned to her home in the village.
Five or six officers from the Zhonggong Town Police Station, led by officials from the Xiguo Village, broke into the homes of Guo Changyou and Wang Shaorong on September 9, 2022. The officers searched the practitioners’ homes and confiscated Falun Gong books and printed materials. Both practitioners were taken to the police station. The officers photographed them, took their fingerprints and blood samples, and recorded the interrogations.
The practitioners were released on September 9 and placed under surveillance.
Gong Rong returned to Xinjiezi Town from the county seat at around 5 p.m. on September 14, 2022. Three officers from the Xinjiezi Police station had been waiting outside Gong’s house. They dragged Gong toward a car and said that Gong had to sign paperwork at the police station. Gong resisted and did not go with them.
Gong is disabled, has difficulty making a living, and has been repeatedly persecuted.
Gao Ke from Daowai District was arrested and taken to the Jingyu Police Station at around 4 p.m. on September 14, 2022.
Two officers from the Wangpo Township Police Station went to Mr. Gao Baidan’s home in Dongwangpo Village at around 5 p.m. on September 8, 2022 to record a video. Gao was not at home at the time. The officers took a video of his wife and left.
Mr. Wang Xinghui, 67, a retired official in Daiyue District, was arrested by officers from the Sanli Police Station in Taishan District on the evening of September 13, 2022. Information about where he is being held is pending.
The Lianshan District Court issued verdicts on June 28, 2022, that Wang Jing, Zu Xiangchun, Liu Yuhua, Zhou Liyun, and Liu Yanhui were each sentenced to ten months in prison and fined 2,000 yuan.
Ms. Wang Qiuyan was arrested by officers from the Suihua City Police Department and members of the police department’s 610 Office on August 27, 2022.
Two officers from the Shuangta Police Station and three officials from the Yongle Village Committee broke into Ms. Zhang Chunfang’s home on the morning of September 12, 2022. They questioned her daughter and her granddaughter, and took videos. Ms. Zhang was not at home at the time. Her son Mr. Li Zhanfeng was also taken to a brainwashing center. He did not dare to stay home and left. Ms. Zhang’s husband Mr. Li Heng passed away in 2005 after he was persecuted.
Ms. Yang Surong was arrested by officers from the Jinzhou City Police Department at around 5 p.m. on August 18, 2022 in the stairway outside her son’s apartment in Xingcheng City. They claimed that a warrant for her arrest was posted in the public security online system, and took her to Jinzhou City. Officers from the Suizhong City Police Department took her directly to the Huludao Detention Center.
A few years ago, Ms. Yang was sentenced to six months in prison for distributing brochures with Falun Gong facts in Suizhong City. She did not go to the trial, and a warrant was issued and posted in the public security online system.
