(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 9 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Tan Guirong from Hadatun Village, Xinhua Town, Acheng District, was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Town Police Station on August 6, 2022. She was held in the No. 2 Detention Center in Harbin City. Further information is pending.
Ms. Guo Caihua from Kuancheng District was arrested by people who claimed to be police officers but they did not show any ID. Her home was ransacked. She was arrested because her family’s careworker, Ms. Jing, was clarifying the truth on Heishui Road, Tiebei Sub-district, during the day. Around 11 p.m. the officers went to Guo’s home, opened the door with Ms. Jing’s key, and broke in together with the property management personnel. It is not known which police station the officers were from or where the two practitioners are being held.
Ms. Zhao Yaning was arrested at her home by seven people from the Domestic Security Division at 7 a.m. on September 7, 2022.
Two domestic security officers went to Mr. Chen Xinli’s store and arrested him at 9:30 a.m. on September 8. They held Mr. Chen until after 7 p.m., and then asked his niece to go to the domestic security division and sign a guarantee statement before they released him.
On the morning of September 8, 2022, Ms. Xu Zheng’e, from the Yuanlin Community, was on her way to Shanghai to take care of her daughter who was about to give birth. She was arrested in the Macheng Railway Station. She was held in the Macheng Detention Center.
Ms. Geng, a retired employee of Laiwu Iron and Steel Group Company, in her 50s, was arrested by Li Jing, director of the Comprehensive Management Office of Wenyuan Sub-district in late August 2022. She was fined and her home was ransacked. She was later released.
Ms. Hu Ruifang’s pension was suspended by the Leshan Municipal Social Security Bureau in July 2022.
On February 20, 2021, Ms. Hu received a text message from a court in Sichuan Province: “You have been ordered by the court’s Criminal Tribunal to pay a fine of 5,000 yuan within three days.” Ms. Hu did not cooperate. Shortly afterwards, 5,000 yuan was transferred out of her Agricultural Bank account without her consent.
Ms. Lu Baoqin, 81, was reported to the police when she talked to a man about Falun Gong and gave him two amulets at the Linjiang Vegetable Market at around noon on August 30, 2022. She was arrested and taken to the Yuebei Police Station. The officers body-searched her and confiscated three amulets, a USB flash drive, and a copy of Minghui Weekly.
Ms. Lu refused to sign any interrogation transcripts. The officers deceived her family by telling them that they would take a look at her home and release her. In the end, the police confiscated over 60 Falun Gong books and three photos of the founder of Falun Gong from her home. Ms. Lu was released the following afternoon.
