(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
On September 3, 2021, the Zunhua Court told Ms. Geng Fuxia, Ms. Fu Ruiying, and Mr. Wei Guoshen to go to the court. Each was issued a subpoena stating that they would be tried in court at 9:00 a.m. on September 15, 2021. Ms. Lu Caiyun and Ms. Wang Xiuhong, who are held in the Tangshan Detention Center, were also scheduled to be tried on September 15, 2021.
Ms. Wang Haimin was scheduled to be tried on September 7, 2021. The lawyer applied for a release on bail, which was denied by Judge Sun.
Ms. Song Jifeng from the Licheng District was arrested on August 4, 2021. Seven or eight officers from the Tangye Police Station and residential committee personnel in the Licheng District ransacked her home. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, 200 yuan in cash, and other items. Ms. Song’s current whereabouts are unknown.
On August 19, 2021, three officers (two of them surnamed Lang and Zhang) from the Xuanhua District Police Station went to Mr. Li Wenjing’s home. They asked if he still practiced Falun Gong, whether he had a printer at home and his family members’ personal information.
On September 3, 2021, when Ms. Pan Jing was having a birthday party for her 89-year-old mother, six or seven officers from the Zhenxing Police Department broke into her home. They arrested Ms. Pan and four visitors Mr. Wang Zhe, Ms. Wang Yu, Ms. Guo, and Ms. Hou. Mr. Wang Zhe and Ms. Wang Yu were taken to the Maokuishan Police Station, but were released on September 4, 2021. Ms. Guo and Ms. Hou were taken to the Zhanqian Police Station. They returned home the same day. Ms. Pan is being held in the Dandong Detention Center.
On August 19, 2021, Mr. Meng Xianyi, 80, was reported to the police while distributing Falun Gong informational materials. He was arrested by officers from the Chengjiao Police Station and then taken to the local Police Department. Four officers led by Zhao Wenfeng, the head of the Police Department Domestic Security Division, took him back to his home and ransacked the place in front of him. They confiscated 29 Falun Gong books and 70 copies of printed materials.
Later, Meng Xianyi was transferred to the detention center. Due to the results of the physical examination, the detention center refused to take Mr. Meng. He was detained at the Police Department for one day and one night and was released on bail the next day.
The second court hearing against Ms. Liu Aihua was scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on September 6, 2021, at the Dengta City Court.
Since May 2021, officers from the Dazhi Street Police Station in Jiang’an District harassed Ms. Zhu Chunfeng as part of the CCP’s “zero out” campaign. Ms. Zhu was forced to leave home with her over 80-year-old husband, who was recovering from a stroke. The couple’s whereabouts are also unknown.
Officers from the Dazhi Street Police Station found Ms. Zhu’s two daughters at work and demanded that they tell them Ms. Zhu’s whereabouts.
On September 2, 2021, Ms. Zhao Huanzhen’s family received a phone call from the Suizhong County Procuratorate, informing them that Ms. Zhao was officially placed under arrest.
Ms. Wang Xiubo has been held at the Huma County Detention Center for more than six months. Her family was not allowed to visit her because she refused to write the three statements renouncing Falun Gong. Ms. Wang’s family believes that the authorities are planning to sentence her soon.
Officers from the Huangchuan County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Chen Yan from her rental home in Huangchuan County about a month ago. She was held at the Hedian Detention Center for one month and then transferred to the Xinyang City No. 1 Detention Center.
On August 30, 2021, officers from the Nanjiao Police Station arrested Ms. He Xiuli. They ransacked her home together with officers from the Domestic Security Division. Ms. He is being held in the Suizhou City No. 2 Detention Center.
During June and July 2021, officers from the Fanshan Town Police Station and various village secretaries in Zhuolu County harassed at least four practitioners.
In mid-June 2021, Li Wenzhu, the village secretary, led three officers from the Fanshan Town Police Station to go to Ms. Li Zengfang’s home. They asked for her cell phone number. When Ms. Li said she had no cell phone, they demanded her family members’ cell phone numbers.
Around the same time, village secretary Zhang Zhijun went to Mr. Fu Zhilin’s home with three police officers. They demanded Mr. Fu’s cell phone number as soon as they entered his home.
In early June, the village secretary from Wubao Village led a few officers from the Fanshan Town Police Station to Ms. Wang Zhifang’s home and demanded her cell phone number.
On July 28, two officers from the Fanshan Police Department went to Ms. Xiao Changying’s home and demanded her cell phone number. When Ms. Xiao asked why they needed her number again, one officer threatened to send Ms. Xiao to prison.
On August 16, 2021, Mr. Yan Wei distributed a copy of Order No. 50 from the China Press and Publication Administration Bureau, which abolished the ban on Falun Gong publications, to Zhang Huajian, an assistant officer in Hexi Village. Zhang Huajian stopped a police car on patrol and forcibly took Mr. Yan to the Wenquan Police Station. An office surnamed Song photographed Mr. Yan and interrogated him. When Mr. Yan refused to sign the statement, he was handcuffed to the chair all night.
On August 17, officer Qin Xiaodong and another officer surnamed Huang from the Weihai City Police Department Domestic Security Division went to the police station. They yelled at Mr. Yan and threatened to have him sentenced. Then they ransacked Mr. Yan’s home. They confiscated his Falun Gong books, a media player, four printers, two laptop computers, printer paper, etc.
On August 17, Mr. Yan was forcibly taken to have a nucleic acid test in the morning and have a physical examination in the afternoon. In the evening, Mr. Yan was taken to his home and videotaped with the confiscated items.
On August 18, Qin Xiaodong forcibly took Mr. Yan to the Weihai Detention Center and held him there for 15 days. Mr. Yan returned home on September 2, 2021.
