1. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Shuxiang Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Li Shuxiang from Guangrao County was arrested by officers from the Guangrao County Domestic Security Division on the morning of November 22, 2019. Her case was submitted to the Guangrao County Procuratorate on December 25, 2019. She was later held in the Dongying District Procuratorate. Her family was not allowed to visit her and did not get any news about her until recently.

It was recently learned that she was indicted by the Dongying District Procuratorate and sentenced to three years in prison by the Dongying District Court. She was incarcerated in the Shandong Province Prison in March 2021.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Officers from police stations in Chengdu City raided nine practitioners’ homes between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on May 12 and 13, 2021. They broke down the doors, arrested the practitioners, and ransacked their homes. The practitioners were Liu Guohua, Xie Shiying, Zhang Xunju and Huang Huaizhou couple, Su Qinghua, Zhou Yuxiu, Liu Senrong, Lin Xiaoquan, and Li Yun.

3. [Taian City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xie Qingling and Mr. Gao Fangqiang Face Trial

Ms. Xie Qingling, 65, and Mr. Gao Fangqiang, 51, were arrested by officers from the Taishan District Domestic Security Division and police stations when they were distributing Falun Gong calendars on November 24, 2020. Police ransacked their homes and imprisoned them first in the Xintai City Detention Center, and then in the Taian City Detention Center.

The Taishan District Procuratorate received their cases and indicted them in March 2021. Their families learned in April that the Taishan District Court scheduled a hearing for June 29, 2021.

4. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Luan Guizhu Detained for Five Days

Ms. Luan Guizhu was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Road Police Station on May 14, 2021. She was detained for 5 days in the Hengshui City Detention Center.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Kejian Arrested

Mr. Wu Kejian of Gaomi City was arrested at home on May 15, 2021. Police seized his printers, satellite receivers, and cash.

6. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Xiuying Arrested

Ms. Chen Xiuying was reported when she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and encouraged them to withdraw from the CCP. She was arrested by officers from the Pingyuan County Domestic Security Division on May 13, 2021.

7. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] One Practitioner Harassed, Two Arrested

Ms. Lu Jianhui was arrested at her home by officers from the Baoding City Domestic Security Division on May 11, 2021. The officers seized her Falun Gong books and took her to the division. She was later released.

Ms. Yuan Li was arrested on the afternoon of May 11, 2021. Her home was ransacked. She was released on May 14 after police extorted 12,000 yuan from her and ordered her to carry a monitored cell phone at all times.

Ms. Yang Haiqin's husband received a harassing call from a hometown police station around May 11, 2021. The officer asked for Ms. Yang’s cell phone number and WeChat ID, and told him to order her to renounce Falun Gong in a video. He refused to cooperate.

8. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Haixia and Ms. Li Shuchun Face Trial

The Ranghu Road Court scheduled a virtual trial against Ms. Yang Haixia and Ms. Li Shuchun for May 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.

9. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Wan Xingping Faces Trial Again

Wang Xingping (gender unknown) was arrested on July 4, 2020. Wang will be tried again on May 19, 2021.

10. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yu’e Harassed

Ms. Wang Yu’e was harassed at home by clerks from her village residential committee on May 12, 2021. They demanded that she sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong in the committee office, and said officers from the Yaojiazhuang Police Station were waiting for her. She refused to comply.

11. [Beijing] Feng Yingjun Detained

Feng Yingjun (gender unknown) was arrested by officers from the Qinghe Police Station on the evening of April 29, 2021. Feng’s home was ransacked. Feng is being held at the Haidian District Detention Center.

12. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Zhang Ying Held in Brainwashing Center

Zhang Ying (gender unknown) was taken to a local brainwashing center from home by officers from local Domestic Security Division on the morning of May 13, 2021.

13. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xue Lianxia Faces Indictment

Ms. Xue Lianxia was reported to police when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers in a neighborhood on November 6, 2020. She was arrested by officers from the Dazhushan Police Station on November 11, 2020. She was released on bail on the morning of November 12, 2020 after her daughter went to the police station and paid 5,000 yuan.

The Xihaian Procuratorate called Ms. Xue on May 17, 2021. She was told to report to the procuratorate the next day at 2:00 p.m.

14. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Baolan, Ms. Qi Wenbo and her daughter-in-law, Ms. Feng Qiao, were arrested by officers from the Douzhangzhuang Police Station on May 13, 2021.

15. [Chongqing] Ms. Dong Jiyun Arrested, Her Husband Missing

Ms. Dong Jiyun and her husband Mr. Li Laosan, a non-practitioner, went missing. It was learned later Ms. Dong was arrested, but Mr. Li is still missing.

16. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Xue Yuequan Arrested

Mr. Xue Yuequan was reported when he distributed Falun Gong flyers on May 12, 2021. He was arrested at home by officers from the Sanqiao Police Station on the afternoon of May 13. He was interrogated in the police station and released the same day.

17. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Tried in Court

Ms. Fan Ying, Mr. Zeng Xiaolin, Ms. He Fuxiu, and Lu Wei (gender unknown) of Taoyuan County were detained and tried in court.

18. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Shufeng Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liu Shufeng took her child to school on the morning of March 23, 2021. Right after she arrived home, her boss, Pingxiang County Market Management Bureau director Zhen Gengsheng, and several persons in charge of the Pingxiang County Police Department led more than ten people to her home. She went into her bedroom and locked the door from the inside. Her home was watched downstairs until 3:00 p.m.

The next morning, she learned that the police were coming to her home to arrest her, so she left home. However, she was intercepted and arrested twenty minutes later by Zhen Gengsheng, county Political and Legal Affairs Committee member Cui Yanping, and officers from the county police department. She was taken to the Xingtai City Brainwashing Center.

19. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Xiaohua Harassed

Ms. Sun Xiaohua was harassed at home by officer Wang Zhongnan and two others from the Qianjin Police Station on May 11, 2021. They ordered her to write the three statements renouncing Falun Gong, and said they would confiscate her property if she did not comply.

20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Cuilan Arrested

Ms. Zheng Cuilan was arrested at home by two officers from the Haijun Square Police Station on the afternoon of May 13, 2021. They forced her to undergo a blood test in the Zhongshan Hospital, and took her to the Jinnan Road Detention Center. The detention center did not admit her. They had her undergo another blood test in the Third Hospital. Her test results did not meet detention center entry requirements. She was released at 9:30 p.m.

21. [Chongqing] Mr. Lin Decai Harassed

Mr. Lin Decai received a second call from Xiong Ying, a clerk from the neighborhood office at noon on May 11, 2021. Xiong threatened Mr. Lin, and said if he did not sign the “five statements” renouncing Falun Gong, they would meet with the Chinese Communist Party Committee in his work unit, Zhongshen Group Coop, and have them force him to do it.

22. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ruifeng Detained

Ms. Wang Ruifeng, 65, of Heishan County was given criminal detention by the Heishan County Domestic Security Division on May 12, 2021. The police ransacked her home. She is being held at the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

The detention center does not allow her family to visit her. Her attorney is still in the process of applying for a meeting permit. The process is lengthy because of the pandemic in the province.

23. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Zheng Qiuyan, Ms. Li Jinshuang, Ms. Wang Sufen, and Ms. Feng Yanyun were harassed at home by three officers from the Nanmeng Town Police Station on the afternoon of May 15, 2021. The officers questioned the practitioners if they still practiced Falun Gong and photographed them.

24. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Meng Qinglin Harassed

Mr. Meng Qinglin, 75, has been harassed by officers from a police station in the Automobile Factory District since April 2021. Police extorted 5,000 yuan from his family. He is under house arrest. Half of his pension was suspended.

25. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Harassed

Neighborhood committees in Neijiang City have been repeatedly harassing practitioners since March 2021 under the command of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office. They tried to force practitioners to sign three statements renouncing Falun Gong and harassed practitioners’ families as a way to reach their goal.

Ms. Zhong (first name unknown) and Ms. Li (first name unknown), in their 70s, have been repeatedly harassed. A group of people went to their homes and threatened that if they did not sign, they would come back every week. Ms. Wu Zhengfang was also repeatedly harassed. They threatened to take her to a brainwashing center.

26. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Shen Xiaona Arrested

Shen Xiaona (gender unknown) was arrested recently.

27. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Changyan and Dong Zhongxia Detained

Ms. Yu Changyan, 53, and Dong Zhongxia (gender unknown), in his or her 60s, were arrested by officers from the Daoyi Police Station on May 13, 2021, after a surveillance system captured them distributing Falun Gong flyers. They are being held in the Shenyang Detention Center.
