(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities on June 12, 2021, on the Royal Mile, a must-see area in Edinburgh, to tell people about Falun Dafa. Because the pandemic restrictions were relaxed, the streets were filled with local residents and tourists enjoying the clear skies and warm weather while strolling along the streets of Scotland's historic capital city.
Practitioners came from all over Scotland to participate in activities on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and tell people about Falun Dafa.
Practitioners tell passersby about Falun Dafa.
Practitioners displayed poster boards that introduced Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They also demonstrated the elegant movements of Falun Dafa’s five exercises. They distributed truth-clarification flyers and exposed the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China, including the forced live organ harvesting.
Many people who stopped to chat expressed their support for ending the persecution.
One tourist said, “I’ve been to Hong Kong and China. The people there told me many terrible things about how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners and the Uyghurs. That is unbelievable.”
Earlier that day, he said, he’d spoken with a hotel manager at breakfast about forced live organ harvesting. He said not only would he sign the petition to end the persecution, he would also tell more people about Falun Dafa.
After reading the informational posters, a lady and her husband said that they knew that many terrible things were happening in China. The lady was in tears when she learned how people are losing their lives for the right to practice their spiritual belief. She was very happy to express her support by signing the petition.
When Edith and her two young daughters passed by the information booth, a practitioner offered the girls two beautiful paper lotus flowers. Edith accepted a truth-clarification flyer and said she was very interested in the free local Falun Dafa classes. She also said she would sign the petition online to stop the persecution.
Many people signed the petition during the activity. Three Asian women said that they would post the information about the petition on their social media accounts. Six young men who were attending nearby activities offered to help distribute flyers. They also scanned the QR code to sign the petition. A local elderly man said that he once saw Falun Dafa practitioners peacefully protesting in front of the Chinese embassy and admired their spirit. He criticized China and said that he had already signed the petition.
Four male exchange students from China took truth-clarification flyers, and, after talking with practitioners, they agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
