1. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Minghua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

It was recently learned that Ms. Xu Minghua was sentenced to four years in prison by the Pulandian Court. She is currently detained in the Dalian Prison. Ms. Xu was previously sentenced to three years in prison.

2. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Case Against Mr. Li Zhigang Submitted to Procuratorate

Mr. Li Zhigang was arrested at home at midnight on October 27, 2020. His mother was not informed until February 5, 2021, and learned that her son was in the Changsha Detention Center. It was said that his case was returned once by the procuratorate. His case was re-submitted on April 30, 2021, to the Yuhua District Procuratorate, which is in a different district than where Mr. Li lives. Mr. Li’s lawyer has not seen him in person yet.

3. [Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Province] Ms. Deng Rongfang Taken to Brainwashing Center

It was learned recently that Ms. Deng Rongfang was detained in a brainwashing center in Mutoukeng Village of Gaoling, Qinzhou City.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Ke Xingguo Arrested

Mr. Ke Xingguo from Shijinshan District was arrested at home by four officers on April 22, 2020. Mr. Ke’s wife was left alone at home. Her mobility is limited, and her husband Mr. Ke takes care of her.

5. [Chongqing] Six Practitioners Harassed

Six practitioners from the Yongchuan District were harassed by local police and community members around April 24, 2021. They are Ms. Shen Guangxiu, Mr. Dai Dakui, Mr. Dai Xianming, Ms. Xu Keqin, Ms. Deng Huacheng, and Ms. Dong Guohui. The police videotaped around Ms. Dong Guohui’s home. They tried to confiscate the photo of Falun Gong's founder but Ms. Dong stopped them.

In addition, Tang Fenghua (gender unknown) has been missing for more than ten days.

6. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Fuli Arrested

Ms. Li Fuli was forcibly taken to the Dalianhe Town Police Station by Liang Guangwen from the Dalianhe Town Police Station, Ge Chen from the Yilan County Domestic Security Division, and Song Yi from Anle Sub-district Office on April 16, 2021. Ms. Li was subjected to a body search. She was forced to give her fingerprint, have photos and videos taken, and give a DNA sample before she was released.

Xu Bailing (gender unknown) was harassed at home by community staff in Dalianhe Town at the end of April 2021. They pressured Xu to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong and tried photograph Xu, which Xu refused.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Ms. Sun Lijun and Xu Peng (gender unknown) in Minghe Community were harassed at home by officer Xiao Weidong from the Zhanqian Police Station on March 18, 2021. The officer took a photo of the practitioners’ home.

Officer Xiao went to Ms. Xu Guihe’s home on the same day. He tricked Ms. Xu’s husband into opening the door by saying he wanted to rent the house. The next day on March 19, 2021, Xiao Weidong and other police officers came to ransack Ms. Xu’s home. They confiscated her computer, printer, etc. When Ms. Xu came to her mother’s home after work on March 19, 2021, seven police officers arrested her.

8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ding Haitao Harassed

Mr. Ding Haitao from the Shuangde Community in Gaoxin District has been harassed constantly by local police and the local community staff members since March 2021. He was pressured to sign the three statements to renounce his faith. They called the university where his child studies to harass his child. Mr. Ding was unable to keep a normal job because of the harassment and his family now has financial difficulties.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Junping Faces Trial

Ms. Wang Junping is scheduled to be tried in the Fengtai District Court on the morning of May 13, 2021.

10. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Guoqing Arrested and Detained

Mr. Chen Guoqing, unemployed physician from the former Central Hospital of Mudanjiang Agricultural Reclamation Bureau, was arrested by officers Wang Xinghua and Li Chen from the Lianzhushan Police Station on the afternoon of May 7, 2021. Mr. Chen is being detained for five days.

11. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Huang Futang Harassed

Mr. Huang Futang has been monitored by the surveillance camera that was installed at the gate of his home by the local police and the local sub-district office on April 20, 2021. Mr. Huang has been harassed multiple times. Police officer Dong even followed him to his hometown and harassed him there.

12. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Cai Harassed

Several practitioners were harassed recently by officers from the Xingshutun Police Station in the Jinzhou District. They were questioned and videotaped.

Practitioner Cai (first name and gender unknown) was harassed at home and was questioned whether he/she practiced Falun Gong. A photo of Falun Gong's founder was confiscated. Cai's family member was pressured to sign the guarantee statement on behalf of Cai.

13. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yong Daichang Harassed

A police officer from the Yangjia Town Police Station in Jingyang District found a copy of Minghui Weekly in a practitioner’s home. Ms. Yong Daichang, 58, was suspected and the police came to her home. Ms. Yong was not there. Her son was told that his mother should go to the local police station when she returned. Ms. Yong did not cooperate and had to leave her home to avoid persecution.

14. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Three officers from the Gangkou Police Station in Chaisang District broke into Mr. He Shengxiang’s home around 9 to 10 a.m. on April 23, 2021. They confiscated his wall calendar, New Year posters, desk calendar, etc.

The officers also went to Ms. Li Chaoqun’s home. Her sister-in-law stopped them from going upstairs and told them that Ms. Li was not at home. The officers took some photos from downstairs.

It was said that the officers also went to Mr. Liu Yixiong’s home and even climbed onto the roof of Mr. Liu’s house.

15. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Liu Junmin and Tang Suqing Harassed

Officer Jiang Fei from the Chengnan Town Police Station in Yingshan County led several officers and local community members to the homes of Liu Junmin (gender unknown) and Tang Suqing (gender unknown) on the morning of May 7, 2021. They harassed the practitioners and photographed their homes.

16. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Hanlian Persecuted in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Xiong Hanlian from Yangyuan, Wuchang District, Wuhan, was detained in the notorious Yangyuan Brainwashing Center. Because Ms. Xiong refused to cooperate or write the three statements, she was detained in a dark room alone and was given very little food. She was threatened and told she would “starve to death.”

17. [Shanghai] Ms. Chen Qinfang's Pension Suspended

Ms. Chen Qinfang's pension was suspended from June 22, 2017, to April 21, 2020, by the Jiading Branch of the Shanghai Social Insurance Management Center.

18. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Pan Lianying Harassed in Train Station

Ms. Pan Lianying from Yongling Town, Xinbin County took a train from Liaoning to Beijing to visit her daughter. When she was in the waiting room of the Shenyang railway station, two officers came and directly walked towards her. They searched her bag and luggage carefully, including even the money in her purse. They left when they did not find anything they were interested in. They didn’t search anyone else in the waiting room.

19. [Guang’an City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Tingyao Officially Arrested

Mr. Chen Tingyao from Xiexing Town in Guang’an District, was officially placed under arrest by the Guang’an District Procuratorate on March 9, 2021. The details are unknown.

20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Chi Lianzhu Harassed

Chi Lianzhu (gender unknown) was harassed at home by two officers from the Paoya Police Station on April 27, 2021. They wanted to have a photo taken to prove that they were there. Chi didn’t cooperate. Chi’s family members received harassing calls before the officers visited.

21. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zheng Qiong Harassed

Ms. Zheng Qiong was harassed at home by three people from the local police station around 4 p.m. on May 5, 2021. They threatened and pressured Ms. Zheng to sign a guarantee statement, which she refused. They kept calling her husband to harass him.

22. [Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Xifeng Persecuted

As part of the CCP’s “zero-out” campaign to force all known Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their faith, the Hami City Political and Legal Affairs Committee has worked with police departments and local community staff to harass and persecute practitioners since the end of March 2021.

Ms. Zhang Xifeng was taken to the local community brainwashing center and her husband was forced to accompany her there every day. Under the intense pressure, the couple divorced. Ms. Zhang was expelled by her work unit just three years before she was able to retire.

23. [Beijing] Ms. Ding Xiaoyi Arrested

Ms. Ding Xiaoyi was placed under a 10-day detention in the Haidian Detention Center.

24. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhuang Peiyu Harassed

Ms. Zhuang Peiyu, who lives on Yongping Road, Licang District, refused to open the door when she saw officers from the Xinghua Road Police Station knocking on her door on April 24, 2021.

When the building manager knocked on her door on the morning of May 2, 2021, Ms. Zhuang opened the door but saw the two police officers standing behind the building manager. They told Ms. Zhang to go to the police station to sign the guarantee statement. They also asked if she still practiced Falun Gong. They photographed her surroundings. When they saw her daughter, they told her daughter to advise her mother to stop practicing Falun Gong. Her daughter ignored them.

25. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Shuhua Taken to Longquanyi Women’s Prison

Ms. Peng Shuhua, 79, was arrested on August 13, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. After three court hearings, she was sentenced to two years by the Xinjin District Court on September 10, 2020. She was taken to the Longquanyi Women’s Prison in late April 2021, to serve the remaining three months of her term.

26. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Song Yucen's 5.5-year Sentence Upheld

Mr. Song Yucen, 26, was sentenced on December 29, 2020, to 5.5 years for telling hospital patients how practicing Falun Gong cured his depression. He appealed the verdict, only to have the intermediate court uphold his sentence on May 1, 2021.

27. [Qufu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Kong Lingpo Secretly Sentenced to 3.5 Years

Mr. Kong Lingpo was arrested on July 29, 2020, while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. He was held at the Sishui County Detention Center and denied family visits. His family recently learned that he was sentenced to 3.5 years in December 2020, but they never received official documents from either the police or the court.

28. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhongsheng Sentenced to Four Years

Mr. Wang Zhongsheng was arrested on November 1, 2020, and his home was ransacked. He was detained at the Nangou Detention Center. The Shuncheng District Court sentenced him to four years with a 4,000-yuan fine on April 26, 2021.
