(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 36 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Bengbu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Qian Xiuling Sentenced to Seven and a Half Years in Prison

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Wu Koudi Under Residential Surveillance 
5. [Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Gao Xiaoke Arrested
6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Practitioners Detained in Nong’an County
7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Haixiao Harassed
8. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Xiaoming Arrested
9. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. You Quanfen Harassed Repeatedly

14. [Beijing] Eight Practitioners Harassed

1. [Bengbu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Qian Xiuling Sentenced to Seven and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Qian Xiuling, 67, has been arrested and detained multiple times. She was subjected to three years of forced labor in 2003. She was arrested and detained in May 2020. It is learned that she has been sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. The sentence is under appeal. 

2. [Beijing] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Xing Guoqing lives at No. 2203, Building 3, Section 3, Fangxingyuan of Fangzhuang, Fengtai District. Practitioners including Mr. Xing Guoqing, his wife Zhang Jie, and two other female practitioners, were arrested at his home when they were reading Falun Gong teachings together on March 2, 2021. It was learned that they were detained in the Dongtieying Detention Center. 

3. [Xiangtan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Mo Liqiong Under Official Arrest

Ms. Mo Liqiong was first placed under 10-day administrative detention by the Yangjiaqiao Police Station and the Xiangtan Domestic Security Division. The term was extended for an additional three days. She was then placed in criminal detention and was officially arrested on February 23, 2021. 

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Wu Koudi Under Residential Surveillance 

Ms. Wu Koudi, 71, from Yangpu District, Shanghai, was under residential surveillance from March 1 to 15, 2021, was conducted by the Changhai Police Station. 

5. [Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Gao Xiaoke Arrested

Mr. Gao Xiaoke, around 50, was arrested on February 15, 2021 during the Chinese New Year when he was taking care of his over-80-year-old mother at home. After his arrest, the police went to his farmer’s market and searched his office. They took away his office computer, printer and other equipment. 

Mr. Gao is a successful businessman. His self-made assets were once close to 100 million. He has been harassed and persecuted for years, and as a result he has been unable to lead a normal life. His family hired a lawyer for him but Mr. Gao is not yet allowed to meet with him. 

6. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Practitioners Detained in Nong’an County

Mr. Zhang Jingyuan and his wife Ms. Ren Yongping were arrested on July 15, 2020. They have been detained since then. The Dehui City Procuratorate returned their cases twice, but the Nong’an Domestic Security Division filed their cases to the Dehui City Procuratorate for the third time. The deadline for case inspection is March 9, 2021. 

Four other practitioners including Ms. Zhang Xiuzhi, Lu Xiangfu (gender unknown), Mr. Feng Liqi, and Ms. Dong Xiuhui (released on bail) were also arrested on July 15, 2021. Their cases were filed to the court last week. 

Seven practitioners including Ms. Sun Xiuying (wife of Mr. Jiang Quande who was persecuted to death), Ms. Cai Yuying, Ms. Yu Jiaoru, Shan Weihe (gender unknown), Ms. Zhao Xiulan, Ms. Sun Fengxian, and Ms. Gao Xiaoqi, were tried via online virtual court trial on January 12, 2021. The case was suspended because the parties did not agree to the video court session during the pandemic. The lawyers were not allowed to appear in court for defense. 

Ms. Wu Dongmei is still detained in the Nong’an County Detention Center. The progress of her case is not clear. 

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Haixiao Harassed

Mr. Liu Haixiao's family member received a harassment call from the Beishan Road Police Station. They were asked whether Mr. Liu was at home, how to contact him, if he had any children, etc. Mr. Liu’s family member did not cooperate with the intrusion. 

8. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Xiaoming Arrested

Ms. Tang Xiaoming was arrested by three plainclothes officers around 12 p.m. on February 23, 2021 when she'd just walked outside of her house. Her home was ransacked and her Dafa books were taken. Ms. Tang was then taken to the Fuyuan Road Police Station where she was detained for two days. 

9. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. You Quanfen Harassed Repeatedly

Ms. You Quanfen was harassed at her workplace on January 14, 2021. She was later harassed by local community members on January 18, 2021. 

Ms. You was harassed again at her home by two staff members from the Xidajie Community Office in Tianpeng Town on March 2, 2021. 

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zhihong Harassed

Ms. Wang Zhihong from Beiguo Village was harassed at home by officers from the Shouguang Police Station on February 27, 2021. These officers came in police cars. They videotaped her house and took away a Chinese New Year poster that hung on the wall. Her daughter was scolded by the officers when she tried to reason with them.

11. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Luo Guobing Harassed

Several people including Laohekou Village Communist Party Secretary Wei, Huang Wei and Wang Qiuping who was in charge of the surveillance, broke the lock on Mr. Luo Guobing’s home on the evening of March 1, 2021. When they did not find Mr. Luo inside his house, Wang Qiuping led these people to look for him in his friends’ homes. It is said that Mr. Luo hasn’t returned to his home for three days. 

12. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Xianyan Arrested

After Mr. Tian Xianyan was arrested and detained in the local police station, several officers from the Gao District Police Department came to his workplace to conduct a search around 9 a.m., on March 1, 2021. Led by Yu Shaoyong, the officers from the Yiyuan Police Station ransacked Mr. Tian’s home and took away Dafa books, his computer and printer. Mr. Tian was picked up from the police station by people from his workplace around 6 p.m. that same day.

13. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Jihui Arrested

Ms. Li Jihui was arrested by a plainclothes police officer when she was talking to people about Falun Gong in Yongdingchang Town on March 1, 2021.

14. [Beijing] Eight Practitioners Harassed

Several practitioners in the Huairou District have been harassed since March 1, 2021 because it is around the "sensitive date" of the Chinese Communist Party’s Two Sessions. Officers from the Qiaozi Police Station, the Quanhe Police Station, and the Miaocheng Police Station knocked on the doors of the practitioners’ homes in their jurisdictions and videotaped them. 

Ms. Zhang Xiuhua was harassed at home by officer Wang Lihu from the Quanhe Police Station and a staff member from the local community office on March 2, 2021. They even searched Ms. Zhang’s bedroom to see whether there was anything related to Falun Gong. 

Officer Dong Mingjun from the Miaocheng Police Station made four harassment calls to Ms. Wu Guoqin’s son and insisted he stop by their home to take a video. Her son told them that Ms. Wu was not at home.

The following practitioners have also been harassed, including Ms. Sun Guiqing, Ms. Zhong Yuehuan, Ms. Qiao Yafeng, Ms. Xiao Xiaoling, Ms. Wang Baizhi, and Ms. Liang Heping.
