(Minghui.org) My husband and I, both 60, started cultivation in 1995. In our 25 years of cultivation, we feel that Master is always with us.
We went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong when the persecution began. Later, we passed out flyers and hung up banners to clarify the truth. Starting in 2005, we went out to clarify the truth face to face and convinced people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations every day. We never missed a day, even on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. We have experienced a lot. We always keep Master’s teaching in mind: do the three things well, cultivate ourselves and save more people. On the journey of cultivation, Master has protected us; every improvement of ours is due to Master’s benevolence and salvation.
On November 25, 2020, my husband and I went out to clarify the truth, as usual. We convinced six people to quit the CCP. But all of a sudden, my left side went numb. My motorcycle stopped, and my body leaned to the left. I couldn’t keep sitting on the bike and it was about to fall. I tried my best to support the bike using the muscles on the right side of the body. I asked Master for help, “Master, please help me. I still need to fulfill my vow. I don't acknowledge this persecution.” I kept sending forth righteous thoughts.
I tried to keep my balance and raise my left arm and hand. I also tried to stand up. My husband came to help, but my body was limp, with no strength; I could not move at all. My left limbs completely lost feeling, as if they were not part of my body. I held my left arm with my right arm, and my husband supported me on the left so I wouldn’t fall. He also sent forth righteous thoughts and asked Master for help.
After 30 minutes, my hand regained feeling and strength; I was able to move it. After that, my leg and foot were also able to move. I recovered. Both my husband and I were in tears. We thanked Master and the Fa. It was Master who saved me. Words cannot not express my appreciation.
We stood in the middle of the street, and nobody knew what happened to me. But we knew if it wasn’t for Master, it would have been a big disaster.
Master said,
“We have said that good or evil comes from a person’s spontaneous thought, and the thought at that moment can bring about different consequences.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
It is so true. The second day, we went out to clarify the truth, and did what we should do.
Eighteen days later when I was preparing lunch, the same thing happened again. The left side of my body lost feeling. My husband carried me to the bedroom; I could not move at all. I felt that this time the situation was more severe than before. I knew that we are cultivating in the Fa-rectification period, so it’s not personal cultivation. I didn’t believe it was Master eliminating karma for me. My understanding is that when Master eliminates karma for us, it won’t interfere with doing the three things; it was evil interference and persecution from the old forces. I should not acknowledge or accept it. I shouted, “Master, help! I have things to do. This kind of persecution should not happen to me.” Meanwhile, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts to disintegrate the old forces’ persecution.
My son, who is also a practitioner, was worried. He suggested that I go to the hospital and have an intravenous drip.” I said, “We should not have this thought.”
My husband asked me to lay in bed for a while. I said, “I should not lay down. I should not have human notions. I must hold up my righteous thoughts, and not undermine Dafa’s reputation.” I kept asking Master for help and sending forth righteous thoughts.
An hour later, I needed to use the bathroom, but I could not move at all. My husband and son tried to help, but my body was like a soft noodle, not able to move even one step. My husband said, “I will go buy a portable toilet.” I solidly answered, “No. Don’t have such a thought.”
Right after I said no, I was able to move my hand, and then my leg and foot could move, too. I walked to the bathroom myself. Everything went back to normal. Again, my family witnessed Master’s mercy and the amazing supernormal power of Dafa. My son was excited, “If it wasn't for Master, Mom’s life would be over.”
Master said,
“My fashen know everything—they know everything on your mind, and they can do anything. They will not take care of you if you do not practice cultivation. If you practice cultivation, they will help you all the way to the end.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)
It is so true. Master is always with us, and Master knows everything.
I clearly realized that passing tests like these has nothing to do with being capable. It is like what Master said,
“When disciples have ample righteous thoughts, Master has the power to turn back the tide.” (“The Master-Disciple Bond,” Hong Yin Vol. II, Translation Version A)
Everything is done by Master. We should solidly believe in Master and the Fa and have ample righteous thoughts.
The second day, my husband and I went out to clarify the truth, as usual.
Master said,
““I’m Li Hongzhi’s disciple, I don’t want other arrangements or acknowledge them”—then they won’t dare to do that. So it can all be resolved. When you can really do that, not just saying it but putting it into action, Master will definitely stand up for you.” (Teachings Given on Lantern Festival Day, 2003)
Great and benevolent Master renewed my life with His boundless power.
I also looked inward for the reason I was interfered with. Although I have tried my best to do the three things well, I’ve had a strong attachment to my children and grandchildren over the last few years. Although I knew that everybody has his or her own fate, I couldn’t put down the attachment. I treated this problem with human notions, and the old forces took advantage of this loophole. The lesson is profound.
Master said,
“Those who are attached to affection for family will definitely be burned, entangled, and tormented by it. Pulled by the threads of affection and plagued by them throughout their lives, they will find it too late to regret at the end of their lives.” (“Cultivators’ Avoidances,” Essentials for Further Advancement)
I really appreciate Master’s salvation. The only way for me to pay Him back is to cultivate diligently, do the three things well, and help Master rectify the Fa.
On the rest of my cultivation journey, I will solidly cultivate better, get rid of human notions, and save more people. Master said, “Not just saying it but putting it into action,...” (Teachings Given on Lantern Festival Day, 2003) I will go back to my real home with Master with a pure heart.
