(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Li Jianhui Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Mr. Li Jianhui was placed under official arrest by the Liedong District Procuratorate on November 6, 2019. He was later sentenced to three years in prison by the Siping City Court and was taken to the Jilin Province at the end of June 2021.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Three practitioners from Hanchang Town, Dayyi County, including Ms. Xiong Xiufen, Li Xueying, and Mr. Xiong Wenjun, received a notice from the village chief Xiong Huijun to attend a meeting in Qingxia Town. They all refused to go.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Lu Min Arrested

Ms. Lu Min from Hulan District, 76, was arrested by officers from the Xinmin Police Station in the Hulan District on July 7, 2021 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. Her children were threatened with her grandchildren’s future and pressured to sign a guarantee statement on her behalf.

4. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zheng Cuiyu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zheng Cuiyu was arrested by police on November 16, 2021. It was learned that she is currently detained in Huangzhou City.

5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Yi Jiahai and Ms. Yan Yingzhong Arrested

Mr. Yi Jiahai was arrested at home on November 16. 2021.

Ms. Yan Yingzhong was recently arrested at home by several officers from the Huangtugang Police Station. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the No.2 Detention Center of Macheng City.

6. [Tongcheng County, Hubei Province] Ms. Deng Arrested

Ms. Deng in her 50s was arrested on November 17, 2021, and has been detained.

7. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Weizhen Harassed

Officers from the Nanhai Road Police Station in Binhai New District and staff members from the Beikenshan Neighborhood Committee went to Ms. Li Weizhen’s home recently and pressured her to sign a guarantee statement, which she refused.

8. [Gong’an County, Hubei Province] Ms. Sang Yuanxiu Harassed

Six officers from the Lailing Police Station and staff members from the Canling Community went to Ms. Sang Yuanxiu’s home on November 5, 2021. She was not at home. They told her son that Ms. Sang needed to sign a guarantee statement. The next day, her husband, who works in another city, received a phone call asking about his wife’s whereabouts. He refused to answer or cooperate.

After Ms. Sang returned home, she received a call from the local community office. She went to the office on November 13, 2021. She refused to sign the three statements and instead talked to them about Falun Gong and the persecution.

9. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Xianrong Harassed

Ms. Yu Xianrong, 81, lives in the Hongjialou business zone in Licheng District. Several people from the Shandalu Police Station and the local neighborhood committee went to her home on the morning of November 15, 2021. They took Ms. Yu and her daughter (non-practitioner) to the Shandalu Police Station. Under the intense pressure, her daughter signed the guarantee statement on her mother’s behalf. Ms. Yu was released on bail pending trial that afternoon.

10. [Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Su Shuixian and Ms. Li Qunzhen Harassed

Ms. Su Shuxian received a call from Liang Hui in the Jianshe Neighborhood Committee at the end of October or early November 2021 and was told to go to the committee office to have a “talk.” She did not go.

Ms. Li Qunzhen was harassed at home by people from the local neighborhood committee and was pressured to give up practicing Falun Gong. Her family members were also called in to pressure her. Ms. Li did not give in.

11. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Che Guoping Harassed

Ms. Che Guoping from Decheng District was harassed at home on November 10, 2021. Zhou Zongliang, head of the Hexi Police Station in Yunhe Economic Development District and another female officer photographed and videotaped Ms. Che. They pressured her to sign a form.

12. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Zhiqiang Harassed

Several officers from the Decheng District Police Department, led by two teachers Feng Dayong and Mi Chengjie, went to Mr. Li Zhiqiang’s workplace on the morning of November 15, 2021. They pressured Mr. Li to sign a guarantee statement and threatened to arrest him. Officers Liu Dawei and Liu Ning from the Decheng District Police Department returned the next morning and continued to harass him.

13. [Shanghai] Ms. Guan Longmei Harassed

During the China International Import Expo, Ms. Guan Longmei from Chaolu Town, Pudong New District, was monitored and followed. When she went to her son’s home, she was followed there. Her home in Baoshan was also under surveillance. Whenever the police lost track of her, Ms. Guan’s son would receive a phone call asking where she was.

14. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ma Guizhen Arrested and Detained

Ms. Ma Guizhen from Dongfanghong Forestry Bureau was arrested after her name was found on a website by big data analysis tools. Her home was ransacked. She was arrested and detained for five days.

15. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hu Yulian Harassed

Ms. Hu Yulian, 78, has been harassed twice by officers from the Donghu District Police Department since mid-November 2021. They pressured Ms. Hu to sign a guarantee statement, which she refused. Two days ago, they threatened her son and her daughter and pressured them to cooperate with them. They brought her daughter to Ms. Hu’s home and then took Ms. Hu to have a physical exam.
