Minghui Starts 18th China Fahui

Nov. 11, 2021 |   By Minghui correspondent Zheng Yan

(Minghui.org) While Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is well received around the world, it has been relentlessly persecuted in its birthplace – China – by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since July 1999. In order to support the cultivation of Falun Gong practitioners in China, Minghui.org began to host annual online experience-sharing conferences (Fahuis) for them in 2004.

The 18th China Fahui began on November 9, 2021.

There were 221 articles published in the 2004 China Fahui. Some examples were:From a Farmer's Hoe to a Computer MouseDoing My Part to Safeguard Falun DafaI Am Our Magnificent Teacher's Disciple; No One Can Harm MeThe Cultivation Path of A New Practitioner: So Many More People Waiting to be SavedA Young Practitioner: Nothing Will Shake My Belief in Falun Dafa

The number of China Fahui articles published in subsequent years were: 2005 (109), 2006 (164), 2007 (132), 2008 (532), 2009 (296), 2010 (199), 2011 (225), 2012 (172), 2013 (111), 2014 (52), 2015 (53), 2016 (43), 2017 (40), 2018 (30), 2019 (30), and 2020 (34).

While the China Fahui serves practitioners in China, their counterparts outside of China have been paying attention to their sharing.

The Power of Compassion

After the 5th China Fahui concluded in 2008, some practitioners wrote about what they learned from the articles.

Ms. Xu Jingzhi, a practitioner in Taiwan, said that many articles in past Fahuis had focused on how the practitioners began to practice Falun Gong, how they regained their health, and how they were arrested for raising awareness of the persecution. She continued, “But this year [2008], the articles were more about practitioners’ efforts to establish family-run materials production sites, tell people about Falun Gong and the persecution, distribute materials, and save people.” She said she was also deeply moved by the numerous examples mentioned in the sharing articles that talked about how the practitioners looked within to align with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

In one article, the practitioner talked about how she went to Tiananmen Square to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. Because she called out loud “Falun Dafa is good” while exposing the persecution, one police officer was about to beat her. The practitioner looked at the officer with compassion, knowing that he had been brainwashed by the CCP and worrying about his future. At that moment, the officer kept his hand in the air without it landing on the practitioner. “You can get your bag and go home now,” another officer told her. When reading this, Ms. Xu said she was deeply touched by the practitioner’s pure heart and kindness.

This shows the importance of solid cultivation. In another article, a young practitioner needed to learn computer skills from others to produce Falun Gong materials. Noticing those who taught him were already in their 50s, his mindset of competitiveness surfaced, “I am so young and I am sure to get it in a short time.” Later on, after he learned the skills and started to teach others, he found the importance of patience and kindness.

Ms. Xu said she also had similar experiences. Very often when chatting with people from mainland China online about Falun Gong, she easily became impatient. After learning from this article and thinking it through, she was able to remain calm. “It was as if the field became more harmonious, and the result turned out to be very good,” she added.

Remaining Diligent

Ms. Chen Jingzhi, also from Taipei, began to practice Falun Gong in November 1999. After reading through China Fahui articles every year, she found they were written with modest language, a sign of the solid cultivation state of these practitioners. “I am especially moved because, given the harsh persecution in mainland China, they are able to remain diligent in cultivation and act according to Falun Dafa’s teachings all the time,” she explained.

Some articles discussed how the practitioners encountered tribulations after slacking off in cultivation. Ms. Chen also found herself bothered by the attachment to comfort. She resumed the routine of getting up early and studying the Dafa teachings for one hour. “My mind was clear and the outcome was very good,” she added.

From the hundreds of Fahui articles, Ms. Chen could see the pure heart and dedication of the practitioners who wrote the articles. That is, they would overcome any difficulty to validate Dafa and save people as Master had asked. For example, one author learned from sharing articles in Minghui Weekly and set up a material production site at home. Another author was moved by stories shared in previous years of China Fahuis. By overcoming various difficulties, including his own human notions, he was able to create a path of telling people about Falun Gong and debunking defamatory propaganda from the CCP.

All of these things have helped Ms. Chen to remind herself to act as a practitioner all the time, be it at home, at work, and under other circumstances. More importantly, she learned that it is critical to keep faith in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Master said,

“...always cultivating as if you were just starting will surely result in achieving your ultimate rank.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Greater New York International Fa Conference”, Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IX)

We hope that all practitioners will walk the cultivation path well and reach consummation.
