(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Luo Qingsheng Sentenced by the Court

Mr. Luo Qingsheng, in his 70s, was arrested at home by Gulin County police in late October 2020. He was held in the Gulin Detention Center. It is learned recently that Mr. Luo was sentenced by the court.

2. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Yongxiu Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhao Yongxiu from Hejiang County has a shop in Luzhou City. She was arrested in Luzhou City in mid-to-late August 2021. Police officers Ren Wei and Wang Zhonghe from Hejiang County and officers from the Rongshan Town Police Station ransacked her shop. Ms. Zhao was arrested and held in the Naxi District Detention Center.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Yaping Arrested

Ms. Hu Yaping from the Dongxihu District was arrested by officers from the Wansongyuan Police Station on October 12, 2021. Her home was ransacked and her computer was confiscated.

4. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Ms. Wu Yuying Intercepted by Police

Accompanied by her nephew, 78-year-old Ms. Wu Yuying was going to Beijing to visit her younger sister who was sick but she was intercepted in the Lanzhou Railway Station. The police arrested her and held her until 3 a.m. the next morning with the excuse that her MP3 player had Falun Gong-related content. During her detention, she was told to sign several forms, but she didn’t sign anything. Around 3 a.m., she was taken to her daughter’s home and told that she was under a 10-day detention which would be carried out at home.

5. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Yubin Arrested

Mr. Sun Yubin from the Dongchangfu District was arrested when he was posting stickers with information about Falun Gong on October 13, 2021.

6. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Yuhuan Arrested

Ms. Wang Yuhuan from Huadian City was reported to the police while she was posting stickers with information about Falun Gong on October 9, 2021. Officers from the Shengli Police Station in Huadian City arrested her. She was released the next morning.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhang Yibo and Mr. He Binggang Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhang Yibo and Mr. He Binggang were arrested by the Changning District police on October 9, 2021. They are currently detained in the Changning District Detention Center.

8. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gu Baohuan Arrested and Detained

Officers from the Bing’ancheng Town Police Station ransacked Ms. Gu Baohuan’s home on October 12, 2021. They confiscated 12 Falun Gong books. They then went to her beauty salon and confiscated three more books, her cell phone, and Falun Gong keepsakes. Ms. Gu was arrested and taken to the police station. Later her mother was taken to the police station as well. Her mother was released in the evening. It is unknown where Ms. Gu is detained.

9. [Xinyang City, Henan Province] Case Against Ms. Bai Yuzhen and Ms. Jin Yuling Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Bai Yuzhen and 59-year-old Ms. Jin Yuling were arrested on June 22, 2021. Their case is now submitted to the Huangchuan County Procuratorate.

10. [Shanghai] Mr. Fa Zhengping and Mr. Liu Shunming Under Residential Surveillance

Elderly Mr. Fa Zhengping from the Pudong New District is under 24-hour surveillance by four plainclothes officers who work in two shifts.

Mr. Liu Shunming from Maqiao Town in the Minhang District was placed under residential surveillance and has been monitored since September 29, 2021.

11. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Detained in a Brainwashing Center

Ms. He Chunxiu, her husband Mr. Wang Benquan, and her daughter-in-law Ms. Zhang Guangmin from Longfeng Town were seized from their home by Liu Yong and others just after 6 a.m. on October 9, 2021, and taken to a brainwashing center in Xiaonan Street, Pengzhou City.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Si Arrested

Ms. Li Si was arrested at home on October 14, 2021.

13. [Kaili City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Luo Qinxian and Ms. Dong Yongqian Arrested

Ms. Luo Qingxian was arrested on October 12, 2021, and her home was ransacked.

The police told Ms. Dong Yongqian that her cell phone had Falun Gong information on it and she had to go with them for further investigation. She never came back and no one knows where she is.

14. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Case Against Mr. Xu Yanzhong and His Wife Ms. Jiao Ting’e Submitted to the Procuratorate

The case against Mr. Xu Yanzhong and his wife Ms. Jiao Ting’e was transferred to the Huangdao Procuratorate by the Jiaozhou City Procuratorate on October 8, 2021.

15. [Guang’an City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Huaying City police arrested Ms. Peng Qingling, Ms. Ma Xiaoling, Ms. Tang Shuyun, Mr. Deng Qixing, and Ms. Pu Guangshu on August 2, 2021. The practitioners were released that day or the next day.

Recently some unemployed people were hired by the police to monitor practitioners. They follow the practitioners everywhere. The practitioners were also harassed by staff members in the local neighborhood committee and were pressured to sign the three statements.

16. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Song Jianguo Arrested

Mr. Song Jianguo was arrested on the morning of October 14, 2021. His home was ransacked. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Song has been sent to forced labor camps twice for a total of five years. He was tortured in the camp including being shocked with electric batons, deprived of sleep for up to 8 days, and restrained on the “dead man’s bed.”
