(Minghui.org) The eventful 2020 U.S. general election has come to a conclusion. The combined forces of the deep state, left-leaning news and social media, and money-oriented politicians seized the most powerful seat in the world – the U.S. Presidency – through the most despicable means of deceit, cunning, fraud, threat, violence, and killing.

The beacon of freedom that America once stood for, along with human rights and rule of law, is quickly going down as the left-leaning authoritarian force began to dominate the U.S. and the entire world. A dark period is descending upon the human world, since good and evil have been reversed, and conscience, morality, tradition, and virtue are at risk. The evil specter of communism has once again become reckless, declaring its rule of the entire world. 

Such an extreme display of ugliness for mankind used to belong to history, fiction, or the movies. And we would seldom think it could happen in reality. But what has unfolded right now is so real, in this hard battle of life and death during the election. Having gone through this process, both Dafa practitioners and non-practitioners have fully witnessed the fierce and intense war between good and evil. 

People have anticipated the battle for a long time, but the process was disappointing, and the result was heart-breaking. 

We were anticipating it because of our confidence in Trump, the one chosen by the divine. Along that line, we looked forward to an obvious, favorable outcome, in which the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the viciousness it stands for would quickly collapse. We hoped that Trump's reelection would end the persecution of Dafa, and the compassion of Master would help people return to the divine, to tradition, and to kindness towards a bright future. 

But Trump did not win. Instead, in broad daylight, a group of people who have deviated from the traditional values and interest of the free world stole everything – including justice, uprightness, conscience, honesty, morality, and hope. They wasted no time implementing the authoritarian communist agenda. Trump, along with hundreds of millions of patriots and countless Dafa practitioners, have seen this happening but have no power to change it. 

Heartbreaking is the possible consequence. With the vicious controlling the world, conscience will be left behind and darkness will arrive. With deviation from the divine and tradition, where is the future path? And how about people waiting to be saved? People may look at the sky and ask: where on earth can we find justice and hope? In the past, it was generally believed that society progresses through the battles between the weak and the strong. Facing the consequence we are facing now, is that truly the path we would take if we were given a second chance?

Even for practitioners, there are lots of questions. The forced organ harvesting from practitioners, for example, has lasted at least 15 years since it was first exposed to the world in 2006. Why would the divine allow it to happen that way? That could be a question many of us are thinking about. 

Another problem is that many people have been deeply misled by the news and social media. Some of them believed Trump could run for president again four years later. What they did not know is that, once the communists take power, they would not give it away. Before the CCP took power in 1949, for example, it lied to the entire world promising democracy. All these promises were torn apart within several years, with land robbed from landlords, capital seized from business owners, followed by the government claiming ownership of all private property. After forcing a large number of Chinese into misery including poverty and starvation, the CCP persecuted intellectuals to wipe out traditional culture and faith, the foundation of our civilization. 

“Defame their reputations. Bankrupt them financially. And destroy them physically!” is the persecution policy issued by former CCP leader Jiang Zemin against Falun Gong practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. But this kind of suppression had been applied previously on landlords, business owners, intellectuals, and democracy advocates as well. Right now, the big data collected by the CCP is massive and accurate. It is enough to destroy the U.S. and lead it to control the world. 

But those people who are kind and who believe in the divine, what would they do after being struck like this again and again?

We have seen already that the balance between good and evil is already off, leaning towards the side of the vicious. Probably, the darkest moment would be the time for things to reverse and for light to shine through the universe. But, is this the darkest moment yet?

Or, could it be that, since we are Dafa disciples, our journey is meant to be this way, full of hardships and obstacles? 

Master said, 

“That's because while you're improving yourself in cultivation, your path of validating Dafa, of saving sentient beings, and of moving towards the final Consummation is going to be a bumpy one. What's key is that you take every step well after you come to realize something.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

As Dafa disciples, we are cultivating Dafa with a great mission. Such a harsh test and difficulty is a process to forge our purity and righteous faith. Cultivation is not easy and the result of the U.S. general election is another test for Dafa practitioners. In front of such a big test, how much faith we have in Dafa and Master, and how pure the faith is, will be clearly evident. That is the true testimony of who we are and where we belong. 

Master wrote, 

“Cultivation is hard. It’s hard in that even when a terrible calamity strikes, even when evil madly persecutes, and even when your life is at stake, you still have to be able to steadfastly continue on your path of cultivation without letting anything in human society interfere with the steps you take on your path of cultivation.” (“Path,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)
