(Minghui.org) Ms. Guo Xiuying, 60, resident of Suining City, Sichuan Province, was arrested on September 11, 2020, for her faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999. She was electrically shocked three days in a row at the Yongxing Detention Center. She became extremely weak as a result.
Because of upholding her faith, Mr. Guo has suffered multiple incidents of detention and torture in the past 21 years. Below is a recount of her recent persecution.
Ms. Guo went to talk to people about Falun Gong outside a local gated community in Suining City on the morning of September 11, 2020. Two plainclothes policemen caught her and gathered backup officers to the scene. The police from Fuyuan Street Police Station handcuffed her and dragged her into a police vehicle.
At the police station, she was body-searched and taken to the local hospital for a test for the CCP virus (the novel coronavirus named after the Chinese Communist Party). She refused to sign the document on her 15-day detention. Instead, she talked to the police about Falun Gong and urged them not to take part in the persecution. She was later taken to Yongxing Detention Center and once again to the hospital for a comprehensive physical exam.
The next morning, she was ill and unable to get out of her bed to do the roll call. Guard Xu Zhi'an dragged her off her bed and into the interrogation room. He forbade her to sleep during the day and forced her to wear a uniform and did the roll call.
When she explained that she felt ill, Xu refused to listen and punished her by forcing her to sit on a small stool for an extended period of time. As she resisted the order, Xu grabbed an electric baton and started shocking her legs and arms. After a while as Xu got tired, he handed the baton to another guard Jiang Bo to continue, while threatening to hang her up by her wrists.

She was later taken back to her cell and forced to sit on a small stool for an extended period of time. It caused unbearable pain in her bottom after two days of such sitting. As she was unable to get out of bed, she laid in bed during the morning roll call. Guards Xu and Jiang took two electric batons and shocked her in bed. They dragged her out of bed and continued to shock her. Then they forced her to wear the inmate uniform. When she resisted, both guards dragged her to a pole outside and handcuffed her to it until lunchtime.
The two guards shocked her again with electric batons after lunch. Ms. Guo passed out in extreme pain and became incontinent. After regaining consciousness, she asked the guards to allow her to change her wet pants. The guards refused and put her back in handcuffs, while slapping her in the face multiple times.
The next day Ms. Guo's condition worsened and she was extremely weak from the electric shocking and maltreatment. As the guards saw her lying in bed, they forced her to get up, wear the uniform, and sit on a small bench. When Ms. Guo refused to comply, they brought three batons and shocked her savagely.
Then they dragged her outside, handcuffed her from behind to a pole, and shocked her all over her body. The torture continued into the afternoon. She sweated profusely from the pain and nearly fainted again.
On the third day, she lost consciousness from the same torture while cuffed to the pole.
Three days of continued electric shocks left Ms. Guo very weak, unable to speak and walk, and mentally disoriented. Only after seeing her dangerous condition did the guards stop the torture.
Ms. Guo demanded that she be released immediately. Yet the guards wanted to negotiate for a certain condition in return for her release. She refused.
On the last day of her 15-day detention, September 26, 2020, guard Luo Li dragged her to a room, took her photo and ordered her to sign the release document. As she noticed words slandering Falun Gong on the document, she refused to sign it. As a result, the guards took her back to her cell. Eventually, her husband came to the detention center and took her back home.
