Police Attempt to Pry Open Door to Private Residence

Ms. Suo, in her 80s, lives in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. She was home alone on May 23, 2020 when she heard noise at her door. She opened the door to see a few young men run away, leaving behind a bag of tools.

Ms. Suo brought the tools inside and called her son. Soon, her son arrived. While she opened the door to let her son inside, three young men barged in. They claimed that they were police officers and Ms. Suo had been reported for practicing Falun Gong.

Both Ms. Suo and her son reasoned with the police, who eventually left without making an arrest.

79-Year-Old Woman Arrested

Ms. Miao Xianmin, 79, of Jining City, Shandong Province, was walking on the street on June 9, 2020, when two men and a woman suddenly grabbed her arms and pushed her down onto a bench on the curbside. They claimed that they were from the Rencheng Police Department of Jining City.

Ms. Miao asked them why they held her. They said, “You are a Falun Gong practitioner.” They shoved her inside a police car and brought her to the police station.

The police interrogated Ms. Miao, but she refused to answer their questions. She was released around 1:00 a.m. the next day.
