(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in nine cities or counties in six provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuqin and Ms. Xie Yuxia Facing Trial

Ms. Wang Xiuqin and Ms. Xie Yuxia are due to be tried in the Rencheng District Court on June 9, 2020.

2. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Meng Fanmin and Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Meng Fanmin and Ms. Zhang were arrested by officers from the Harqin Banner Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of May 29, 2020, when they were studying the Falun Dafa teachings together.

3. [Beijing] Mr. Pan Qin’s Home Ransacked, Mr. Zhang Wenrong and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Pan Qin, 85, from the Shijingshan District had his home ransacked by officers from the Bajiao Police Station and the Babaoshan Police Station on the afternoon of February 26, 2020. The Shijingshan Police Department gave the order to ransack his home. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, printer, cash worth around 1,000 yuan, and other personal belongings.

Mr. Zhang Wenrong and his wife were arrested by officers from the Lugouqiao Police Station on the evening of May 20. Their home was ransacked, and Falun Gong books and computers were confiscated.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Weiyun and Ms. Li Chunling Detained

Ms. Zhang Weiyun and Ms. Li Chunling from Xindianzi Village, Yangguanlin Town were held in the Fengrun Detention Center for 12 days.

Ms. Zhang was released on May 22, 2020. Ms. Li was transferred to Tangshan No. 1 Detention Center.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Lanfeng Detained

Ms. Li Lanfeng was arrested at home by officers from the Luyuan District Domestic Security Division on December 12, 2019. She was taken to the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center.

6. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Wanlin and Ms. Lu Shuxue Facing Trial

Mr. Ma Wanlin and Ms. Lu Shuxue are due to be tried in the Yinzhou District Court on June 3, 2020.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiulan and Ms. Zhang Lanqing Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiulan and Ms. Zhang Lanqing were arrested by officers from the Fu’an Police Station on the evening of May 6, 2020, after someone reported them for distributing Falun Gong fliers.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guijuan Arrested, Ms. Sun Guifang Facing Trial

Ms. Wang Guijuan was arrested by officers from the Haijun Police Station on May 18, 2020. Her Falun Gong books, cell phones, SIM cards, MP3 players, residence card, and other personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Sun Guifang from the Jinzhou District has been held in the Dalian City Detention Center for over eight months. She is due to be tried in the Jinzhou Court on the morning of June 4.

9. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yan Ping Detained

Ms. Yan Ping from Boluo County is being held in the Meihua Detention Center in Luoyang Town.
