(Minghui.org) I began to cultivate in Falun Dafa in 1997, and am now 70 years old. After Master Li (the founder) published articles about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2005, I quit the Party. At the end of that month, I was asked to pay the Party member fee. To the shock of my colleagues, I told them that I had quit the CCP.
After retiring, I clarified the truth and tried to awaken people's conscience. I often attend weddings, funerals, birthday parties, and class reunions. I always give everyone at my table fliers and an audio device that stores the recordings of the truth-clarifying materials, such as the facts of the persecution, forced organ harvesting, and the preciousness of Falun Dafa as well as the growth of Falun Dafa worldwide. Many people not only have been shocked by my actions but more so by the brutality of the persecution.
I had lost contact with many classmates from my elementary school. After all, we graduated over 50 years ago. I tried my best and could connect with 30 former schoolmates. I then organized a class reunion. At the party, some of them asked why I looked so young. I told them that I practiced Falun Dafa. Many had been deceived by the CCP’s lies, and they were shocked.
I was the only one in my class who passed the exam and went to college. My classmates saw me as a good student, who always obeyed the “rules.” They could not understand why such a “by the book” person went against against the CCP’s “rules.”
At one of the reunions, I gave everybody an audio device. One of them listened to the recording as soon as she got home. She then criticized me in our social media group, saying I should not have passed out “such stuff.” I didn’t fight back with her during the group chat. I told her to listen to the recordings patiently, which most likely would change her thoughts about the subject. Most of the group members thanked me sincerely and accepted the truth. One classmate told me that she and her husband were impressed with the information I shared with them and listened very carefully. I felt happy for them.
Former classmates from high school have frequent interactions. We often have reunions and parties – almost once a month. I took every chance to tell them how I have benefited from Falun Dafa.
My frequently told story is that one of my family members forced me to have a physical examination and paid the fee, so I went. The doctor was surprised to see the wellness of my blood indexes. He discussed my case with other doctors. They agreed: “for your age, your indexes are ‘super good.’” They then told me I did not need many of the examinations. Then, I also told people that I used to suffer from many illnesses, such as arthritis, and frequent flu. But, my health was restored after practicing Falun Dafa.
At each party, I always give every attendee some truth-clarifying materials. Most of them accepted it. One time a classmate stopped her husband [also a classmate of ours] from taking the Dafa materials. My heart was not moved. I waited for another chance and gave both of them the materials.
I also have kept up contact with my classmates from college. We have had a lot of reunions in different cities, such as Changchun, Beijing, and other tourist towns. I gave materials to those who were willing to listen to me. For those who refused to listen, I waited without feeling anxious My principle is: “Keep the good image of Dafa.”
There were 10 classmates of mine from college who worked in the public security and prison system. Polluted by the CCP, they support the Party and refused to listen to anything different. It is really hard for these atheists to change their minds. One interrupted me rudely when I talked to the group at a party. I didn’t get mad at him, because I know he had been brainwashed by the Party, and could not tell good from evil. His wife was at the party too. So, I talked to her – woman-to-woman. I told her the benefits of Dafa that I have enjoyed. She understood me, and asked me to forgive her husband. If I were not a cultivator, I would not have forgiven him for his attitude,
One of my college classmates used to be my neighbor and co-worker. He suffered from heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes for 18 years. He was bedridden and had to be taken care of by his wife. I told him to recite: “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” For many years, the first thing he does in the morning is to recite the above Dafa sentences with his wife. They also quit the Party. Consequently, his health has improved.
Many of his classmates and his doctor thought that he had passed away. They were surprised to see him alive and well. The couple deeply appreciated my help. I told them that they should thank Master Li.
At the beginning of the sudden pandemic, fellow practitioners and I didn’t know what to do. The subdivisions were locked down. No outsider could get in.
In January, another practitioner and I who live in the same subdivision downloaded many new materials from the Minghui website, targeting the pandemic. We passed them out in our subdivision. In February, Minghui published booklets and fliers about the pandemic. The designs were eye-catching and gorgeous. They have helped a lot to wake up people’s conscience. Many people have learned how to keep themselves safe during the pandemic—recognizing the evil nature of the CCP and abandoning it.
A few people in the subdivision rejected the truth. They looked for the person who passed out the materials and put up the truth-clarifying posters in the subdivision. They took pictures of the posters, and sent them to the social media group chat of the subdivision, and asked if anybody had seen us putting up the posters.
We are protected by Master Li, and because everybody wears a face mask due to the pandemic wears a face mask, they never found us.
We also sent phone text messages to people, telling them that sincerely reciting “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” can save lives, and quitting the Party can enhance the positive energy in one’s body to resist the virus.
People who received the truth-clarifying materials are blessed and have a predestined relationship with Dafa. They deserve to have their conscience awakened.
