Some Thoughts on Clarifying the Truth to Government Officials

April 14, 2020 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner outside of China

(Minghui.org) The CCP virus pandemic has caused massive losses of life and devastating economic damage around the world. It also appears that countries and regions that have closer ties with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have suffered the most. Some influential political figures and other notables have also tested positive for the virus.

As Dafa disciples, we have a sacred mission to save people, especially now when the entire world is suffering a catastrophe. We all know that the CCP is the root cause of many disasters in the world and people really need to see through its evil nature and break away from it.

A democratically elected government represents the will and interests of the people, and their attitude toward the CCP has a direct and profound impact on the country. It is therefore very important that we do more to clarify the truth to government officials. Practitioners who do this need to be well-grounded in the Fa and have a strong sense of responsibility.

I would like to share some of my understandings with regard to clarifying the truth to government officials.

For people who grow up in the West and take universal values for granted, it might be hard for them to understand just how evil the CCP is. It doesn’t abide by international laws and often uses deceptive and despicable means to get things done. Its aggressive and extensive use of propaganda and misinformation makes it even easier for people to fall victim to its lies.

When other countries do business with the CCP, their investments and technical support fuel the CCP's unscrupulous ambitions and arrogance, with the result that countless Chinese have been convinced that worshipping money and blinding pursuing personal gain are the right goals in life. Such economic advancement can further help the CCP to disguise the fact that it ignores basic moral standards, ethics, and human rights.

We need to help people understand that the CCP will never truly be interested in a partnership, collaboration, or mutual benefits. There is an agenda behind everything it does, and it will take advantage of every possible resource.

The following are a few talking points I would like to suggest when talking to government officials.

1. Prior to the economic reforms, the CCP had already gained absolute control of China's national wealth and resources as well as the minds of the Chinese people through its political campaigns and movements. The Chinese people were turned into cheap laborers with no freedom of belief, freedom of thought, or freedom of speech.

2. After the economic reforms in China, the CCP succeeded in attracting huge amounts of wealth from the Western world into China with promises of cheap labor, vast undeveloped land, and huge market potential.

At the same time, the CCP gained access to the advanced technologies and intellectual properties of the West by stealing, hacking, and forced technology transfer.

Many people who do the cheap labor in China have no human rights or freedom, and some are also deprived of all personal liberty, such as the large number of imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.

How can any Western business compete with a regime that controls all the national wealth and resources? The threat to Western businesses is much greater than the short-term benefits people can see on the surface.

3. The leader of the CCP is not the same as a president in a Western democratic country. The leader of the CCP is totalitarian by nature and will stop at nothing to maintain his power.

So, what is the CCP afraid of? Its biggest fear is that the Chinese people will learn the truth, and that's why it spends so much money on internet censorship.

The CCP also worries that the Western world will see through its glamorous facade and find that it is, quite simply, evil to the core. So they have gone all out to infiltrate other countries with promises, temptations, bribes, and threats.

To protect itself and reach its objective, the CCP tries to control anyone and anything that might pose a threat. They believe that only by defeating and controling the Western world can they achieve their ultimate goal to dominate the entire world. For example, the “One Belt, One Road” initiative is part of its global strategy for world domination.

When we clarify the truth to government officials, we need to expose the CCP's dirty tactics and its ultimate goal with facts and evidence.

Western societies believe in justice and fundamental values. When they truly understand what will happen to them if they continue to do business with the CCP, such as losing their technical advantage, having their enterprises taken over, losing jobs, and being harassed and threatened, I'm sure they will choose not to align themselves with the CCP.

Finally, I would like to suggest that practitioners who speak to government officials read two books: The Devil is Ruling Our World and Minghui Report: The 20-Year Persecution of Falun Gong in China. They contain a multitude of facts and solid evidence.

We need to have a good understanding of the factors that have prevented government officials from seeing the truth; we need to be well-prepared to present the facts rationally; and, most importantly, we need to have the great compassion we have cultivated in Dafa. This is how our efforts can be more effective.
