Villagers Said My Cotton Field Was Protected by Deities

April 10, 2020 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) I began to practice Falun Dafa in 1997. I live in a farming village, and plant cotton. The way I plant is different from others'.

Most people need to spray lots of pesticides and apply fertilizers. Even so, they still end up with lots of cotton balls dropping, and the yield is low.

I don't use fertilizers, nor do I spray pesticides. I am a Falun Dafa practitioner, who does not kill living things. I communicate with bugs when I see them. I ask them to leave, and not to hurt my cotton. I ask them to remember “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” They just leave.

My cotton does not look different from other people's. But, the yield per acre is twice as high. The quality of my cotton is especially good. The wholesalers will buy my cotton every year.

We had a sudden hailstorm one summer when the cotton was budding. The cotton was badly damaged. Other farmers all replaced the cotton with corn. I did not. I enlightened from the Fa that nothing that happens around us is accidental. The cotton has a life too. It is because of a predestined relationship that it came to my home. I needed to treat it kindly. Other people laughed at me, urging me to replant with other crops.

A cousin of mine was a branch party secretary. He helped the local 610 Office police to persecute me. Seeing me working in the cotton field, he ridiculed me, “You are wasting your time. I could not see any buds in your field. You are dreaming to get a high yield.” I said, “I am a practitioner. Master is protecting me. I will have a high yield if I say so. Just wait and see.”

I sent forth righteous thoughts, distributed Dafa informational materials, and did the work every day in the field as usual. Pretty soon the cotton grew new shoots. It became very lush within a few days. It was a bountiful crop in autumn. My wife and I harvested it from morning until 9 pm. It grew new ones when old ones were reaped.

The villagers marveled and envied us. The wholesalers offered to pay extra for my cotton.

My neighbor was displeased, asking the wholesaler why his cotton was worthless, given that we both had the same cotton seeds and management. The wholesaler grabbed a handful of my cotton and showed it to him: “See, this cotton becomes very puffy if I let it go. Also, you can see the filament is especially long, no one else' cotton can compete.”

A villager came with a bag of cotton to sell. He asked, “How is my cotton?” The wholesaler said: “The quality is similar, but there are some leaves in your cotton.” I knew in a glance that the cotton had been stolen from my field. I could recognize it. A big patch of my cotton next to the street was stolen.

I took it lightly and I thought of Master's instruction:

“Thus, our practitioners should be like this even less so, as a practitioner should follow the course of nature. If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it. ” (Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)

I had a wonderful harvest despite the disaster early in the year. It caused quite a stir among the villagers. They all said: “Deities must be protecting him.”
