(Minghui.org) Over the 70-year-long totalitarian control of China, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been ruling the country with violence and deceit. Its persecution of innocent people through numerous political movements, especially the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, has brought natural disasters and man-made catastrophes to China and the rest of the world.

When the novel coronavirus first hit Wuhan at the end of 2019, the CCP’s initial cover-up of the epidemic not only resulted in the quick spread of the virus across China, but also turned an epidemic into a global pandemic that has infected more than 160 countries and territories.

For people in Wuhan, which has been on a lockdown for nearly two months, living a normal life is still an unreachable luxury.

Despite the massive deaths and disruption to people’s normal life, the CCP still claimed victory in the battle against the virus and praised its “superior leadership.” Wang Zhonglin, the Party secretary of Wuhan, called for “gratitude education” in early March and demanded the Wuhan people thank the government for its efforts to contain the virus.

The deadly tragedy, on the other hand, was a wake-up call to many Chinese people, who no longer trust the government and also see through the true nature of the CCP. Many of them are expressing the desires to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated Youth League and Young Pioneers.

Liu Chen, a Wuhan resident wrote in his statement of withdrawal published on the Tuidang (Quitting the CCP) website on February 10, 2020, “I am in Wuhan right now. Hundreds of patients here are left untreated. The entire city has turned into a purgatory on earth. The evil CCP is not worthy of being the governing body of China. CCP officials have fabricated so many rumors and lies to deceive the public. When their irresponsibility provoked public indignation, they made up more lies. Many people who used to trust CCP are finally awakened from their illusions, and are demanding that the officials tell us the truth!”

Another Wuhan resident with a pseudonym “Survival” wrote: “I work in Wuhan, and I have had a fever with a cough and diarrhea for two days now. I cannot find any doctors who have time to treat me, so I can only buy some medicines and hope that they work. I don't know whether or not I have the coronavirus. I saw that many patients are suffering in pain but there are no doctors available for them. I don't want to die like this. By quitting the CCP, I hope I will be blessed with good fortune.”

A female doctor surnamed Liu working in the makeshift hospitals in Wuhan said on February 26, 2020, “I have witnessed all kinds of chaos in the hospital. Our medical staff working on the front lines are not provided with sufficient protective gear. We are human beings, but the CCP does not show us any respect, especially us female doctors and nurses. I joined the CCP about six months ago, but I hereby declare that I am quitting the Chinese Communist Party!”

In addition to people who are suffering unimaginable miseries in Wuhan, many Chinese citizens around the country also chose to sever ties with the CCP.

One netizen with the pseudonym Sanjuren wrote in his statement: “The Wuhan pneumonia cannot be concealed no matter how hard the CCP government tries. I use VPNs to break through CCP's internet firewall, and have learned that the CCP is the root cause of the modern Chinese societal problems. Thousands have died from the coronavirus, but the regime's primary goal is to deceive the world, and cover up the truth.

“I had been fooled by the CCP before, but I am awakened now. We’ll not survive if the CCP still exits. I didn’t understand what the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party said the first time I read it, but I understand and agree with everything it says now. I want to withdraw from the CCP, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneer so as to abandon this devil completely!”

Another netizen with the pseudonym Chongshanjunling wrote on February 2, 2020: “Comparing the news reports inside and outside China, I have become more clear on how a small clique of Chinese benefits and relies heavily on lies. Unfortunately, it is this small group of Chinese who have the absolute power over the entire country and Chinese people, and who have led the nation to such a distressing state. Through the epidemic, I have witnessed how the deceitful CCP has been using its tactics to poison people's minds, and cover up the facts of the deadly virus, which eventually brewed the breakout of the calamity for the entire human society.

What is happening in China now reminds me of what happened during the ten-year long Great Cultural Revolution from 1966-1976, as well as the three-year famine from 1959-1961 that killed tens of millions of Chinese. Even after knowing the fact that the virus was spreading from person to person, the Wuhan government officials still ordered around 100,000 people in the local Baibuting community to attend an annual feast to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Wuhan. All these officials care about is to please their central government boss for their personal gains and benefits.

I am deeply aware that all Chinese people have contributed to the decline of the moral standards, and given the evil the opportunity to thrive. It is time for people to wake up. That's why I do not want to be associated with the CCP that treats ordinary Chinese like pigs and dogs. Such a political party should not exist in this world any longer.”

Yingchun from Shenzhen City wrote: “Many years ago, I did not believe Falun Gong practitioners when they told me about the CCP's brutality against its own citizens. After witnessing the struggles that people in Wuhan are suffering through, how helpless the ordinary people feel, and how the corrupted government officials turn a blind eye to the hundreds of patients who could not get medical treatment, and were left at home hopelessly waiting to die, I finally realize that everything that the Falun Gong practitioners told me was true. So I decided to ask Falun Gong practitioners to help me quit the vicious CCP today. I want to thank you for your perseverance and efforts over the years!”

Cai Zhenming from Beijing said: “When Wuhan pneumonia was spreading to every corner in China, I was anxious and panicking. Fortunately a lady who believes in Falun Gong taught me to say, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ to receive good blessings. Falun Gong teaches people to follow Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, but the CCP persecutes its practitioners. I am declaring that I will withdraw from the CCP and all of its affiliated organizations!”
