(Minghui.org) I live in a big township with hundreds of residential buildings. As the coronavirus spread, our town was closed down. Local practitioners got together and discussed how to effectively clarify the truth under the current situation.
Not only were all the entrances into the town blocked, even the residential areas were tightly barricaded. With few people on the streets, speaking to anyone face-to-face seemed impossible. So, we decided to hand out informational materials to each household.
Since it was Chinese New Year, we knew people would have parties and expected our materials to reach more people. We divided the area into two sections and set up two teams to cover them. Our town is densely populated, and we felt we could access most of the residential buildings. We downloaded materials related to the coronavirus from Minghui.org.
Practitioners who produce and package the materials always include a card with information for breaking through the Internet blockade. They also make sticky notes from the Minghui website that are beautifully designed. Within 20 days, we covered hundreds of buildings plus some flats.
I’d like to tell you about our experiences.
The suddenness of the calamity was shocking, and I felt bitter. My initial thought was to blame those who were infected: “You refused to listen to us before. Now what will you do?!”
When I walked the empty streets, however, I couldn’t hold back my tears. I thought of all those people in Wuhan and throughout China who were suffering and even dying.
I thought I had to share my thoughts with local practitioners and ask them not to be affected by this tragedy. We should form one body, reestablish our Fa-study group, completely negate the old forces’ arrangements, follow what Master said, and do the three things well.
My son’s family returned home to celebrate Chinese New Year. He noticed that I went out every day despite the epidemic. He was worried and asked, “Mom, people are contracting the coronavirus, but you still go out?” I said, “I've been clarifying the truth to people for 20 years. Why would I stop now?”
Master said,
“Dafa disciples are now sentient beings’ only, sole hope for salvation.” (“Righteous Thoughts” from The Essentials for Diligent Progress Vol. III)
I said, “Don’t be frightened. All of you have renounced your memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), so this won't affect you. If you're really worried, perhaps you should go home.”
When my son decided to take his family home, I understood. As the virus outbreak turned into an epidemic, it was easy for people to panic. I felt this situation was created by the old forces to prevent us from forming one body and to interfere with our saving people. If practitioners respond in an upright manner and do what we're supposed to do, then our environment would change.
Ms. Wang and I worked together to hand out flyers in residential buildings. She carried 100 copies of truth-clarification journals. Each journal had more than 30 pages, and they were very heavy. She had to carry them all the way to the sixth floor and cover 10 buildings of similar height.
When she came out of the building, she said, “I'm covered in sweat, and my legs are shaking.” I said, “Me too. After distributing materials to two buildings, I'm short of breath and feel like I'm about to collapse.”
When we looked inward, we realized we had some attachments we needed to eliminate and some notions to break through, like fatigue. We were moved by the situation, so we were nervous. When we saw the buildings had six floors, we felt we couldn’t make it. We realized we had to adjust our mindset. We remembered what Master said: “When it is difficult to endure, try to endure it. When it looks impossible and is said to be impossible, give it a try and see if it is possible.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun) With Master's strengthening, we managed to distribute materials to six buildings.
After we finished, we looked over the next area we planned to cover, including how many units were in each building and which ones were locked. In the older buildings, the doors were missing handles. We taped our materials to the doors. Each time we went out, everything went smoothly.
After a few days, I suddenly felt very tired and as though I had no energy. I felt I had reached my limit. I didn't want to climb any more stairs. I even asked Master to send a couple of people to replace us! But I quickly corrected myself and said to Master, “I can do it! I'm sure I can do it!”
Mr. Jiang stopped practicing more than two years ago. I encouraged him to join our Fa-study group a few times, but he declined. His wife and I worked together to distribute flyers. One day I asked Mr. Jiang, “Don't you want to join us?” He wasn’t sure if he could do it because of his cultivation state. His wife said, “Why don’t you try? We're short of hands.” Even though he was reluctant, he went with us.
After he finished handing out flyers, he said he was tired. The next day, however, he walked quickly and said his body felt very light. He wanted to study the Fa again and borrowed a copy of Zhuan Falun. He has studied every day since then.
I knew benevolent Master gave Mr. Jiang this opportunity to return to cultivation. Master helped clean up his dimensional field so that he could move forward.
Another elderly practitioner, Ms. Hong, made breakthroughs in terms of letting go of her fear and interference from her husband. She was afraid to deliver materials inside the buildings by herself, so she went with Ms. Liu. She persisted and managed to eliminate her fear during the process.
Ms. Li is 77 years old. After she finished a few buildings, she was so tired and her legs hurt so much she could hardly get into bed. But she was determined to continue and said, “I’ll do as much as I can. As long as I can help save people, I won't be disturbed by any illusions.”
One practitioner’s husband works for the government. He told us, “Someone reported you. They said your materials are everywhere. The management staff said they plan to arrest and take you to detention.” I asked myself, “Should I finish what I'm doing or stop and send forth righteous thoughts?” Then I thought, “What they say doesn’t count. Only what my Master says matters. I'm here to save people, and no one can interfere.” When I held my heart still, nothing happened.
One day, three of us went to hand out materials. One was Mr. Jiang. He started from the first unit and his wife start from the last, so they could meet each other half way. When his wife finished the first two buildings, she didn’t see him, so she started looking for him.
At that moment, she saw a man making a phone call. He shouted, “Come over now! Bring your car!” As soon as she heard this, she was afraid this person was reporting Mr. Jiang. Then, she realized her thoughts were off. She began to send righteous thoughts to negate it, as it was all an illusion. She came to find me. Both of us went to look for Mr. Jiang, but we couldn’t find him in anywhere.
We later learned that he went to another building. The phone call had nothing to do with him. We felt it was a test for us.
Master said,
“Never before has any faith group or any spiritual adherent done something like this. Difficult as it may be, it is something that you have actually done. Those of you who haven’t done well so far should, with the time you still have, get going and do well what you should be doing before it’s over!” (“Greetings to the Dafa Disciples Attending the Fa Conference of Europe”)
Master also said,
“Do well what remains to be done, and head toward the future with a cultivation journey free of regret. I wish you much enlightenment and success!” (“To the Canada Fa Conference”)
