“Divine Eyesight Is as Sharp as Lightning”

February 19, 2020 |   By Zhongyan

(Minghui.org) The Wuhan coronavirus epidemic has been spreading for over one month now. Many people are confined inside their homes, are under tremendous stress, and are truly worried.

There is an ancient saying, “Divine eyesight is as sharp as lightning,” meaning that whatever action a person does, be it good or bad, it will be noted by divine beings and accounted for accordingly. This relates closely to another saying, “Good will be rewarded while evil will meet with retribution.”

Based on traditional Chinese culture, everyone’s destiny is related to his own, as well as to his ancestors’, virtue and morality.

I would like to recount a story told by Ji Xiaolan (1724-1805), a renowned scholar in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Ji was also a high-ranking government official, and once served as the chief curator of the country's library.

Good Deeds Are Rewarded

There once was a poor man in Beijing. He left his hometown to make a living in another place. On his way, he became lost in a mountainous area. After wandering awhile, he encountered three or four tall, impressive men. He spoke with them and learned that they were tiger deities. They had come to feed the tigers that day.

A tiger was lying in wait behind some tall grass. A man carrying a heavy load passed by. The tiger was about to ambush the man but suddenly retreated. The person did not notice anything out of the ordinary and went safely on his way.

After a while, a woman appeared on the road. The tiger caught and ate her. At this moment, a tiger deity came to pick up the woman's clothes and gave the silver in her pocket to the poor man.

The tiger deity said, “Tigers don't actually eat people. They only eat animals. Those who are eaten by tigers are animals in a human form.”

The tiger deity explained to the poor man that a person who had a conscience had an aura above his head. Tigers would avoid him. One who had lost his or her conscience had no aura and appeared no different from animals. So tigers would eat him.

The tiger deity continued to say that the tiger did not attack the first man because he helped the poor and had a cluster of projectile-sized auras above his head. As for that woman, she'd abandoned her former husband and remarried, and she abused the child of her husband's ex-wife. She often beat the child, and the boy had bruises all over his body.

She also stole her husband's money, which was the silver she carried in her pocket. She kept doing these bad deeds, accumulating karma, and the aura above her head had gradually disappeared. The tiger saw her as an animal, and therefore preyed on her.

The tiger deity said, “You met me today because you served your stepmother well. Your good deeds have created an aura more than a foot high above your head. So I asked the tiger to help you through this difficult time, not because you bowed to me and begged. If you do more good deeds, there will be blessings in the future.” Then, the deity gave him directions to get back on the road.

Ji said at the end of the story, “It is true that the principles with which a saint guides people are divine ways.”

Bad Deeds Are Not Forgotten

In ancient Rome, Emperor Nero launched the brutal persecution of Christians, which led to four major plagues in which 25 million to 50 million people died.

Today, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, people who have believe in and live according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, for more than 20 years. The architect of this persecution, Jiang Zemin, outlined the persecution policy: “defame their reputation, cut off their income, and destroy their physical bodies.”

In implementing this persecution directive, officials at all levels within Hubei Province and Wuhan City are known to have participated in committing heinous crimes against Falun Gong practitioners.

Defaming Their Reputation

Under the command of Zhao Zhizhen, then-director of the Wuhan TV Station, a feature film “About Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong,” defaming Mr. Li and the cultivation practice, was produced. It was the only, and the main, brainwashing tool in the early days of the persecution.

This film was broadcast nationwide through the state-owned China Central Television (CCTV) on July 22, 1999. This film was used in forced labor camps, and other places of detention, as justification for torturing Falun Gong practitioners.

Cutting Off Their Income

According to statistics reported on the Minghui.org website, from 1999 to 2019, the persecution in Wuhan has caused Falun Gong practitioners an economic loss of at least 20 million yuan.

Among this loss, 610,600 yuan came from valuables illegally confiscated from practitioners' homes; 575,400 yuan was from fines levied against practitioners; 13.2973 million yuan was accrued through dismissal from work, suspension or underpayment of wages and retirement benefits; and 136,000 yuan was collected from practitioners to use as so-called “security deposits,” “transportation fees,” and other extortion fees.

Destroying Their Physical Bodies

The Organ Transplant Research Institute of Wuhan Tongji Hospital is the originator of organ transplants in China. It is currently the largest comprehensive medical service and research institution in China that specializes in clinical and experimental research on organ transplants. It is known that this hospital was a mainstay in the CCP's state-sanctioned organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners.

The hospital performed more than 1,000 kidney transplants in February 2005 alone.

A U.S. Federal Court convicted in absentia Zhao Zhifei, former deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Public Security Department and vice director of the 610 Office, for murder and torture on December 21, 2001. Zhao was the first CCP official to be convicted outside of China for persecuting Falun Gong.

During the First World Transplant Congress in Boston, USA in July 2006, Chen Zhonghua, then director of the Institute of Organ Transplantation of Wuhan Tongji Hospital, was criminally charged while attending the conference.

As the saying goes, “Divine eyesight is as sharp as lightning.” Those who persecute Falun Gong or commit other wrongdoings will be held accountable for their actions.

Falun Gong practitioners want everyone in Wuhan to stay safe amidst the coronavirus epidemic. They are continuing their efforts to remind people to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” to ensure their safety. They hope that more people will receive blessings from the divine and escape disaster.
