(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to speak during an annual Christmas community event hosted by the Multicultural Council of Whanganui on December 3, 2020. A practitioner talked about China's true, traditional culture that is broad and profound. She explained how the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) ruined this ancient culture and people’s belief in the divine.

Using a projector and video clips, she detailed the CCP's systematic destruction of China's true culture. Many audience members asked questions during her thought-provoking presentation. They expressed their concern about the CCP’s penetration of New Zealand and the threat communism poses to a democratic society. Practitioners answered their questions and shared their thoughts. After the presentation, everyone enjoyed dinner together and Santa Claus brought the children gifts.

Pushpa, President of the Multicultural Council, said that she was deeply moved by the practitioners' presentation, “We never knew that China had such a splendid history of divinity and belief in gods. Each of us should know this, and we should spread the truth to prevent communism from devouring the world."

Anna, a local human rights activist and the president of a charity organization, was shocked by what she learned. She said, “If you didn't know what China was before communism, it is impossible to truly understand how evil the CCP is. Tonight I see the sinister intentions of communism and the CCP’s threat to the world at a more comprehensive level.” She hoped to organize more activities and invite practitioners to speak.

Mr. Prasad, a retired Indian army general, said he admired Falun Dafa. After learning that practitioners charge no money to teach the practice and have spread the truth for more than 20 years, he said he deeply admired them. He said, “Few people are willing to do this. Falun Dafa practitioners are God’s blessing to this place.” He and his wife enthusiastically invited the practitioners to have tea at their home and tell them more about China.

Many audience members said that the practitioner’s speech enabled them to see what's truly happening from a higher and deeper level. Several shared the same opinion: People are forgetting mankind's traditional values or are rebelling against it. This is bringing disaster to mankind. After listening to the presentation they felt that God has not forgotten people—but people need to make choices at this historical turning point. Some people said that in the face of the global pandemic people must reflect on what they have lost.
