(Minghui.org) The 2020 U.S. Presidential Election revealed a battle between good and evil. How should we Dafa disciples look at this historic event? What should we choose to do? I’d like to share some of my personal understandings.
We have seen that years into the persecution of Falun Dafa, unlike previous administrations, President Trump and his administration have stood up to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and sanctioned it from the aspects of trade, technology, economy, education, and culture. Trump's administration banned CCP members from immigrating to the U.S. and also enforces the existing law to sanction CCP officials who participate in the persecution. These measures have greatly shocked the evil. Because of that, we are paying attention to this election. And through this election, we are seeing the manifestation of heavenly power to eliminate the CCP in the human world, as part of the Fa-rectification process.
This was not a typical election, but a comeback attempt by the evil forces, given the fraud and corruption that is taking place. For us cultivators who aren’t supposed to concern ourselves with politics, how to make sense of the relationship between the election and Fa-rectification, as well as how we go about it, is a new question for our cultivation.
For most of the time, we’ve focused our attention on eliminating the specter of communism in China. Indeed, China is the main battleground, but the tentacles of the communist specter have reached every corner of the world. Although they no longer use violent revolution to achieve their goal, they’ve never stopped pushing forward their agenda through seemingly “peacemaking” efforts. After all, a wolf in sheep’s clothing is still a wolf. For our cultivators, we can’t allow ourselves to be blinded by superficial manifestations.
Master taught us:
“As to the sentence “before and after Mars reigns,” it means to say that [Karl] Marx is ruling the world before and after the year 1999. Actually, not only those societies ruled by the vile communist party are now practicing Marxism. The social welfare system and its kin adopted by the developed countries of the world are also wicked communist things within capitalism. Those appear to be free societies, yet it seems that the whole world is in fact practicing communism. People who come to the developed countries in the West from countries ruled by the evil communists share one impression: “It feels like communism here, except they don’t advocate violent revolution.”
“With regard to the last part, “in the name of bringing people happiness,” this refers to the vile communist party’s idea of liberating all of humankind, as well as to Western society’s sustaining social welfare through heavy taxation.” (“In Reference to a Prophecy,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)
According to Master’s lecture, it’s very clear that the election is a big act and comeback attempt by the evil communist specter.
Everything in this world was created by the Fa. It’s not limited to physical objects such as metal, wood, water, earth or fire, but also includes things such as “political affairs.” Although we Dafa disciples don’t participate in politics and have no pursuit of any power, “we need to know what is righteous and wicked, distinguish good from evil, and know who we want to support (Trump),” said the Minghui editorial “We Must Know and Be Clearheaded about Our Principles and Fundamentals.”
The U.S. election is a reflection of cosmic changes in the human world. It’s a battle between the divine and the demonic, and also a reflection of the progress of Fa-rectification in the human world. Given the bigger picture of Fa-rectification, we can no longer look at this issue from the standpoint of personal cultivation or remain indifferent to evil running rampant in the human world, with the excuse that we stay unmoved by worldly affairs.
Master said,
“...real Buddhas are guardians of the cosmos and are responsible for all righteous elements in the cosmos.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference,” Guiding the Voyage)
When I read the news about the corruption and scandal of the the democratic candidate's family, I knew that if such a person became the president, he would undermine humankind’s morality. When I read a CBNNEWS.com article titled, “Thousands of Witches Plot 'Blue Wave' Spell on Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 to Force Trump from Office,” I shared with several fellow practitioners that we need to send forth righteous thoughts for the election and clear away all the evil factors interfering with it.
At that time, I thought that while President Trump was working to fight his political opponent on the human level, we Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples should take responsibility to help eliminate the evil beings behind the witches in other dimensions. Some practitioners suggested that I share my understanding on Minghui.org, but I thought that it shouldn’t take so many Dafa practitioners to fight with the low-level witches. But based on what’s happening now, it is a big battle between good and evil and there is no way for us to fold our arms and look on.
The level of fraud exposed in this election will fundamentally destroy traditional values of mankind. If President Trump loses his election bid, the new administration would begin to implement evil communism and destroy morality through legal, administrative, and educational measures. We should all be clear-headed that we aren’t participating in a power struggle or political campaign. Instead, we should use our strong righteous thoughts and great power of the Fa to completely clear away the remaining communism specter.
After two decades of persecution, many practitioners have hoped that President Trump can take bigger steps with stronger momentum in eliminating the CCP.
But Master taught us:
“Since you're Dafa disciples, you shouldn't put your hopes in so-called “natural” changes, external changes, changes in the ordinary society, or in some favors that someone might do for us. You are Gods, and you are the future rulers of different cosmoses, so who would you count on? All the beings are counting on you! (Applause) That's truly how it is. The cosmos's reality will manifest in the near future, and at that time whether we have done well or poorly will be set--however things went will be set.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)
So the world is counting on us, and who are we counting on? Why am I still lingering around and not moving forward?
We have been very clear in our truth-clarification that our eventual goal isn’t to disintegrate the CCP, but to save people. In Master’s new poem “On the General Election,” He made it very clear that it’s the red communist demon that is interfering with the situation.
So given the mounting evidence regarding election fraud, we should use them as opportunities to awaken people and help them restore their conscience and sense of justice. In addition to sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the interfering factors, it’s also urgent for us to clarify the facts to more people, not only to the Chinese, but also the American people. For the American people, it’s also an opportunity for them to make a choice between good and evil.
I believe there are many more things we can do. I hope more fellow practitioners can share their understandings.
