Some Thoughts on the U.S. Presidential Election

(Minghui.org) As a Falun Dafa disciple, I had always wanted Trump to win his re-election so he and his team could help disintegrate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). But I had also worried that I would develop an attachment of counting on everyday people to end the CCP's persecution of Falun Dafa and that such a pursuit of mine would backfire.

I felt torn between these conflicting thoughts until I read the new Minghui editorial titled “We Must Know and Be Clearheaded about Our Principles and Fundamentals.” The editorial made it clear that, “This U.S. election is a battle between good and evil, a battle between gods and demons.” If so, Dafa disciples cannot just remain indifferent and do nothing. We are responsible for all the righteous elements in the cosmos. We should send forth righteous thoughts to support the gods in their battle with demons and to completely disintegrate the specter of communism and its corrupting interferences in the human world.

While I was pondering the matter, my son asked me to print out a school document, which I noted was similar to one he asked to print out several weeks ago. Both documents contained poems written by the founder of the communist regime in China, and the students were asked to read the poems and answer questions. Last time I didn't realize there were such poems until I printed out the document. I destroyed the printout and my son didn't read the poems or answer the questions. Still, my printer began to malfunction shortly afterward. Even though there was plenty of black cartridge, whatever came out was always in red, including the truth-clarification materials. I had a gut feeling that the abnormality was caused by the specter of communism, but I had no clue of what would be the exact cause that triggered the interference.

Now that my son asked me to print out a similar thing with those poems again, and I suddenly realized that the printer should never have been used to print out anything containing those poems or other communism-related stuff. I then removed the poems from the electronic file of my son's school document. When I hit the “print” button on the computer, what came out was a document in black ink. I later tried truth-clarification materials and also got printouts in black ink as intended.

This incident inspired me to think more. Every trace of the specter of communism should have been cleansed in other dimensions. Why are they still able to survive and even do damage to the U.S. presidential election? Could it be that Dafa disciples had passively acknowledged the existence of the specter of communism?

I came to see that while we should completely relinquish our attachment of relying on an everyday person to end the persecution for us, we must also have a clear understanding that the eventual election results concern the fate of mankind since Trump is the man chosen by the divine. Therefore, we should send forth righteous thoughts more intensively and frequently. We should completely disintegrate the communist devil's manifestations in the human world so that Trump can be re-elected.

Master said, "Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master." (Zhuan Falun) No matter how the worldly affairs evolve and how the left-leaning media report on the election results, we must be clear that Master is in charge of everything and has the final say. We just need to study the Fa and do the three things well as usual.
