(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

8. [Yan’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Shulian and Mr. Cao Huashan Arrested

1. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. He Ping Held in Detention Center

Ms. He Ping was arrested by officers from the Songyuan City Domestic Security Division on September 10, 2019. They ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a cell phone (which was used to tell people about Falun Gong), phone cards, and all her Falun Dafa books. She was taken to the Songyuan City Detention Center that morning.

In detention, Ms. He's health deteriorated. She could not eat, had stomach pain, and lost weight. Thirteen days later she was taken to the Songyuan City Detention Center.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhao Zhong Held in Custody

Mr. Zhao Zhong, in his 60s, was arrested by the Changqing District police when he distributed information about Falun Gong on December 18, 2019. He was held in the Changqing District Detention Center.

3. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Song Guiting Arrested

Ms. Song Guiting, 75, who is retired from the Yangquan City Valve Factory, was seen on surveillance cameras when she distributed information about Falun Gong. She was arrested by Majiaping Police Station officers on October 22, 2019. They ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Dafa books. Ms. Song returned home that day and was monitored for 15 days.

4. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Zhang Jingxin Detained

Ms. Zhang Jingxin was reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of December 28, 2019. She was arrested by officers from Juhua Police Station in the Guandu District. They took her home that afternoon, ransacked the place, and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Kunming City Detention Center for 10 days of detention. She returned home on January 7, 2020.

5. [Yi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yanfang and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liu Yanfang, Ms. Wang Yanfang, and Ms. Zhao Jinhua from Peishan Village, Peishan Town, were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong in the Dongloushan area of Weidu Township on the morning of January 10, 2020. The police showed Ms. Liu a search warrant, ransacked her home, and confiscated 1,000 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Qin Shuzhen Officially Arrested

Ms. Qin Shuzhen, 70, from the No. 8 Paoya Sub-district, was arrested by officers from the Anbo Police Station on December 10, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was detained. On December 16, she was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center and placed under official arrest.

7. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Zhiming and Two Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Liu Zhiming, Mr. Yang Qi, and another practitioner with the last name Wu from the Changshou District were arrested when they wrote New Year couplets at the Xinshi farmers market on January 8, 2020. Mr. Yang and Wu returned home the following day.

8. [Yan’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Shulian and Mr. Cao Huashan Arrested

Ms. Li Shulian was arrested by Li Bo, head of the Yulin City Domestic Security Division, and other officers on December 15, 2019, for distributing information about Falun Gong and talking to people about the spiritual belief.

Mr. Cao Huashan, who stayed away from home to avoid the persecution, was arrested at his rented home by Domestic Security officers on December 16, 2019. The officers confiscated many personal belongings.

9. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lin Wuyong Tried

Mr. Lin Wuyong was tried in the Xiangzhou District Court on January 15, 2020.
