(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Jinyu Arrested

Mr. Wang Jinyu was arrested at another practitioner’s home in Harqin Banner on December 31, 2019. He was taken to the Songshan District Police Department. The police confiscated a computer, a printer, and Falun Dafa books.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] 75-Year-Old Ms. Li Zhijie Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Li Zhijie, 75, was recently given a four-year-and-six-month prison term.

3. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Chunfang Arrested

Ms. Yu Chunfang was arrested and taken to a detention center by officers from the Xiadingjia Town Police Station on the morning of December 24, 2019. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and printed materials. She has returned home.

4. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Guirong and Ms. Bai Taken to Detention Center

Ms. Zhou Guirong and Ms. Bai were arrested by Liang Yufeng and other officers from the Zhuozhou City Domestic Security Division when they talked to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of December 31, 2019. They were taken to Lintun Detention Center.

5. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Su Yanying Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Su Yanying was given a three-year prison term and fined 3,000 yuan. She has appealed to the Langfang City Intermediate Court.

6. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Zhenlei and Ms. Chi Yanrong Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Chen Zhenlei and Ms. Chi Yanrong were arrested when they talked to people about Falun Gong in January 2019. About 10 months later, Mr. Chen was given a four-year prison term, and Ms. Chi a three-year prison term. Both practitioners appealed. The court rejected their appeals and upheld the original sentence at the end of 2019. Ms. Chi was taken to Shijiazhuang Women's Prison.

7. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Xu Wuhan and Wife Arrested; Four Other Practitioners’ Cases Turned Over to Court

Mr. Xu Wuhan and his wife were arrested by the Pingjiang County State Security officers on the morning of January 2, 2020.

On July 30, 2019, Mr. Li Kuoyuan and Mr. Li Zhengzheng from Hongqiao Town, Pingjiang County, were taken to the Pingjiang County Detention Center. Ms. Hu Junyu and Ms. Deng Duohui were taken to Yunxi Detention Center. The four practitioners’ cases were turned over to the Pingjiang County Court on November 26, 2019.

8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] 47-Year-Old Ms. Liu Junling Passes Away Due to Persecution

Ms. Liu Junling, 47, passed away at home on October 30, 2019 after years of brutal persecution.

She was arrested at home by officers from Xiaopingdao Police Station, Ganjingzi District, on the evening of October 23, 2014. She was held in Dalian Detention Center.

In 2015, she was transferred to a brainwashing center for forced transformation when she was held in a detention center. She was sentenced to three years in prison on December 23, 2015.

In April 2016, she was taken to Liaoning Women’s Prison, which refused to admit her after a medical exam. The authorities refused to release her, however, and she remained in custody in the Dalian Detention Center. Ms. Liu became seriously ill, and was released on bail on August 24, 2016.

9. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Chunxiang Detained

Ms. Xu Chunxiang was arrested by Liu Huanyu and other officers from Suizhong County Domestic Security Division when she distributing Chinese calligraphy artwork with the word “blessing” on the afternoon of January 2, 2020. She was detained.

10. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Gong Youcheng Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Gong Youcheng from Fuyu County was arrested by officers from Xinhua Police Station on April 16, 2019. He was given a one-year prison term in early November 2019 by Fuyu County Court.
