Returning to True Dafa Practice

September 22, 2019 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) A dozen practitioners in my area were illegally arrested in 2007. Several of us were detained for four months and then sent to a brainwashing center.

There were some practitioners at the brainwashing center who had developed a warped understanding of the Fa. Guards ordered them to transform us. With Dafa books in their hands, they shared their twisted interpretations and the “brave” things they did as a result. Because I did not have a solid understanding of the Fa, gradually, they persuaded me.

I was still holding onto those distorted understandings in 2011. Although I knew that Dafa was good, I was not doing the three things, and I thought that my understanding was based on the Fa.

One day I received a phone call from a practitioner who lived overseas, urging me to return to Dafa practice. I believed I was doing things according to the standards of the Fa, so I didn't take her seriously and hung up on her.

She called back a few days later. This time she said that she had received an email from a practitioner who had previously learned about Falun Dafa from me. The practitioner asked her to help me return to true Dafa practice.

Her voice was calm and steady, I felt her compassion. I will always remember what she said: “Cherish the opportunity we’ve waited all eternity for!”

That sentence touched me deeply. It pierced through layers of karma and reached the depths of my being. It made me wonder if my understanding was wrong. I began to miss Dafa. I found a practitioner and borrowed a copy of Zhuan Falun. Finally, I came back to Dafa.

Eight years have passed, and I feel that I am a genuine practitioner. I am so grateful for Master Li’s salvation and thankful for the practitioner’s perseverance. I have been striving to go forward on the path of Fa-rectification.

Although we have never met in person, those words, “Cherish the opportunity we’ve waited all eternity for,” are engraved in my mind. I know it was Master speaking to me through her. Thank you Master, and thank you to my fellow practitioner!
