(Minghui.org) Recently, between 30 and 40 Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested in our region. Government officials were arresting practitioners, ransacking their homes, confiscating their possessions, and monitoring them.
They even did not spare practitioners in their 70s or 80s. The persecution was at its height and the evil was rampant.
Even when facing such an environment, many practitioners stood firm in their belief in Dafa, and maintained powerful righteous thoughts.
We are clarifying the truth, sending righteous thoughts, studying the Fa, and doing the exercises with an unshakable mind. We are also looking inward for attachments, and loopholes, as well as any deficiency that does not conform to the standards of the Fa.
As soon as we detect anything, we correct it, fix it, and catch up in our cultivation based on the Fa. We have been increasing Fa study, sending forth righteous thoughts, and cleanse dimensional fields within, and those surrounding us.
Whenever we discover anything that does not conform to the Fa, we eliminate it. We also have strengthened our righteous thoughts to improve our rescue efforts of the arrested practitioners. We eliminated bad substances and factors that persecute Dafa practitioners. At the same time, we continue to tell the truth and treat sentient beings with greater compassion.
We have been clarifying the truth and advise officials not to persecute Dafa. We especially focus on the organizations and personnel that directly participate in the persecution of Dafa disciples. Many letters that contain the compassion and sincerity of Dafa disciples have been sent to police, judges, prosecutors, prison guards, officials of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and the staff of the 610 offices.
Maybe if they understand the facts they will no longer participate in the persecution.
However, we understand that there are some flaws in the group cultivation in our region that have been exposed because of the persecution. Let's all pay attention to, eliminate, and correct them.
Not having a deep enough understanding of the Fa
Given the indoctrination by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the understanding of the Fa remains at a surface level, despite the fact that one attends Fa study every day.
It was reflected in their thinking when they faced problems. They understand cultivation from the perspective of individual cultivation, rather than follow the requirements of Dafa in the Fa-rectification period.
They thought from a self-serving point of view, as opposed to seeing whether their actions would have a positive impact on their truth clarification efforts, improve the overall cultivation environment, validate the Fa, and protect Dafa.
Why has this problem occurred? Some practitioners interpret Master's teachings based on human notions, and thus do things based on their level of understanding.
Some people have the excuse, “My cultivation level is low. What Master taught is for the good of cultivators. I just comply as I understand the issues from my specific perspective.” Thus they artificially lower the standard for themselves based on their human notions.
If there were only a few individual practitioners thinking this way, it would not affect the overall situation. However, if there are a large number of practitioners taking this attitude, it becomes a problem.
Master already taught the Fa in this regard. The standard of the new universe would not be lowered, nor the standards of any given level. This is a very serious issue, and it cannot bear any deviation.
The Attachment of “Doing Things” With Human Notions
When it comes to the “doing things” attachment, many practitioners will interpret it as: “Doing things for Dafa took too much time, and thus they could not study the Fa well.”
Then, they would go to another extreme, which is, stop being involved in Dafa projects, and even stop doing what they should do, and only study the Fa all day.
I think the attachment of “doing things” is not a matter of how much you do, but rather how to handle the relationship between Fa study, and doing things for the Fa.
Then, when doing something for the Fa, or in doing something in our daily life, some practitioners have not always been addressing issues as a cultivator.
Instead, they do things as ordinary people. This mentality can make it more difficult for us to overcome tribulations.
When facing conflicts during Dafa projects, one neglects to improve ones xinxing. Without upgrading xinxing, our level of cultivation will remain static, or even be lowered, which can create a loophole to be taken advantage of by the old forces.
As for the relationship between Fa study and doing things for the Fa, I believe that even though everyone knows the importance of Fa study, studying the Fa well is not a simple matter, as most practitioners have experienced.
Good Fa study is not measured by how many times you read the book and how much content you memorize. Instead, it is reflected by whether one can guide oneself in everything, and thus be in compliance with Dafa.
One must genuinely cultivate, gradually assimilate to Dafa's qualities of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, fulfill the expectations at different levels of cultivation, and thus return to one's original, true self.
Master said:
“Study the Fa and gain the Fa,Focus on how you study and cultivate,Let each and every thingbe measured against the Fa.Only then, with that,is it actually cultivation.”(“Solid Cultivation”, Hong Yin)
The Fa is a guide for us to cultivate, not a theory or knowledge for ordinary people. One must truly cultivate to meet the standard of the Fa.
Only when one combines Fa study with xinxing cultivation, and does all things Master asks of practitioners, can one meet Master's expectations for a practitioner. If we've done that, the old forces will not persecute us.
However, to change a person from the one filled with karma, bad ideas, and bad thoughts, to someone noble, is not easy, as only Dafa can make it happen. One must be determined and put in a lot of effort to accomplish this state. This requires that the cultivator diligently and firmly cultivates.
Letting Go of the Mindset of Ordinary People
Master asked practitioners to completely deny the old forces, and all of their arrangements. However, I have found that when we go into specific situations, we act differently in what we say, do and think.
For example, if a practitioner is arrested, some practitioners will say that this person kept too many items used for Dafa projects, such as Dafa informational materials, computers, printers, etc. These things were confiscated by the police. Intentionally or unintentionally, everyone accepted the illegal arrest, ransacking, sentencing and detention.
I found such a thought in my mind, and I was shocked. To correct my thoughts, I kept reminding myself: “Dafa practitioner telling the truth is to save people. Truth materials, printers, and computers are Fa implements, the implements for saving people, not the evidence of a crime. Clear all wrong ideas and thoughts.”
We noticed that after a problem occurred, some practitioners circulated rumors and untruths before finding the facts, leading to the persecution being intensified.
Some practitioners went into hiding when the situation was tense; some were afraid of attending group Fa study, stopped truth clarification, and quit making truth clarification materials.
They covered themselves with an ordinary person's mentality. A variety of behaviors were displayed and all kinds of attachments of ordinary people were uncovered.
However, it was also a good thing because it exposed where problems resided. If we keep looking inward to eliminate these attachments and improve our cultivation, it will become a good thing.
I hope we do not miss this opportunity. Let's genuinely search inward and advance ourselves quickly
