(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Guihua Arrested

Ms. Li Guihua was arrested on the afternoon of June 20, 2019, when she was talking to an officer from the Xilin Police Station about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Li was taken to the police station, and later removed by officers from the Domestic Security Division.

2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Jingxia Detained

Five or six officers from the Dafangshen Town Police Station broke into Ms. Yu Jingxia’s home in the No. 17 Group of Funing Village, and arrested her on June 20, 2019. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and cell phone. Ms. Yu was to be detained for seven days.

3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Yufeng and Ms. Mu Guirong Detained

Ms. Li Yufeng and Ms. Mu Guirong were arrested at their homes by officers from the Chengfa Township Police Station and the Yushu City Domestic Security Division on June 18, 2019. The officers broke into the two practitioners’ residences and ransacked them. Falun Gong materials and a cell phone were confiscated from Ms. Li’s home, and Falun Dafa books were confiscated from Ms. Mu’s home.

Several officers violently dragged and injured Ms. Mu. Her head and face were swollen, and her lower back was injured. They carried her to the police car.

Ms. Li and Ms. Mu were detained for five days.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Yanan’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

The Economic Development Zone Procuratorate officially placed Ms. Wu Yanan under arrest on November 2, 2018. Her case was later turned over to the Kuancheng District Procuratorate.

The Kuancheng Procuratorate twice returned Ms. Wu's case to the Shenzhen Street Police Station citing that further evidence is required.

5. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chang Yafen Arrested

Ms. Chang Yafen from the No. 2 Group, Yangcao Village, was arrested on June 21, 2019 by officers from the Dafangshen Police Station and the Dehui City Domestic Security Division.

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Hu Lin Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Hu Lin, an aviation engineer from Faku County, was arrested with several other practitioners on May 23, 2019. He was sentenced to two years in prison by the Faku Court on June 20.

7. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Guifen’s Home Ransacked

Officers from the Laishui Town Police Station, the fire police, along with plainclothes officers broke into Ms. Lu Guifen’s home on the morning of June 20, 2019, when she was not there, and ransacked the place.

Ms. Lu’s whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cao Haoxiang Detained

Ms. Cao Haoxiang, a retired teacher from the Shouguang Science and Technology College, was arrested by officers from the Jianqiao Police Station on the morning of June 20, 2019, when she was on her way to take care of her nearly 90-year-old mother, who is bedridden.

Ms. Cao is being held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

9. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wu Xingying, 73, was arrested by officers from the Huangdai Town Police Station on May 10, 2019, and was officially placed under arrest by the Wujiang District Procuratorate on June 14. She is being held in the Suzhou City No. 4 Detention Center.

Ms. Xuan Xiaomei, Ms. Lu Huijuan, and Ms. Zhu Peiqin were arrested by officers from the Fengqiao Police Station on the afternoon of April 26, 2019. They were taken to the detention center. Ms. Lu and Ms. Zhu were released on bail, while Ms. Xuan was officially placed under arrest by the Procuratorate.

10. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Huizhen Arrested

Ms. Wang Huizhen was arrested on the morning of June 19, 2019. She was taken to the Zhengdonglu Police Station, and released later that evening.

11. [Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Jinyan Facing Trial

Ms. Yang Jinyan was arrested at home by about twelve officers from the Hongji Police Station in the Shiqi District on April 21, 2019. She was taken to the Zhongshan City Detention Center, and is facing trial.

12. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Li Ruihua and Mr. Wu Rui Arrested

Ms. Li Ruihua and Mr. Wu Rui were arrested by the Shenzhen police at their rented home in the Luohu District on May 30, 2019.

13. [Chongqing] Three Practitioners Arrested Eight Years Ago

Ms. Long Zejuan, Ms. Tang Guoying, and Ms. Liu Banghua were arrested at home on August 22, 2011 by Lai Liyu, Party secretary of the Shuijingwan Neighborhood Committee, and five or six others from the Shuangfenglu Residential Community in the Lianglu Neighborhood, Yubei District. They were taken to the Wangxiangtai Brainwashing Center in Lushan Village.

14. [Weiyuan County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Liu Wangquan Arrested—His 90-Year-Old Mother-in-law Missing

Mr. Liu Wangquan was arrested by about twelve police officers and residential community personnel on the morning of June 19, 2019. His home was ransacked and a printer and other personal belongings were confiscated.

Mr. Liu’s wife, Ms. Liu Jianping, is incarcerated after being sentenced to eight years in prison a few years ago. Mr. Liu was the only one who lives with and takes care of his mother-in-law, who is in her 90s.

After Mr. Liu’s arrest, his elderly mother-in-law’s whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Guifang Detained

Ms. Zhang Guifang from the Jinfeng District was reported to the police. She was arrested on the morning of June 20, 2019, and taken to the West Jiefang Street Police Station. She was later transferred to the Yinchuan City Detention Center for 15 days.
