(Minghui.org) During the darkest days of the persecution of Falun Gong in China, I was glad to see that some of my classmates understood the facts about Falun Gong and secretly protected practitioners. Many of them have been blessed for their kind hearts and sense of justice. Below are their stories.
One of my classmates worked in a company’s security department in 2002. He learned that I’d been fired by my employer and my salary was suspended because I practiced Falun Gong. He called me many times and asked about me. He thought it was wrong and unlawful for the workplace to do that to me. He advised me to fight back and get my job back.
The guilty-by-association persecution policy forced many people to join the communist regime in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. The local Domestic Security Division came to see my classmate at work several times and ordered him to collect the names of those who practiced Falun Gong, but he never did.
One day, someone from the Domestic Security Division told him to fill out the form listing the people who practiced Falun Gong in the company where he worked. He insisted that there was no one. After the officer left, he realized there was one sitting right in front of him. He’d recently been hired. He had been an assistant at a Falun Gong exercise site in the past and was actually a “key person” on the authorities’ list.
Because of his righteous understanding of Falun Gong and secretly protecting practitioners, my classmate was blessed and became a high-ranking official.
I went on a business trip in 2010 and ran into a classmate that I had not seen for years. We had a great time together and I brought up the topic of Falun Gong and the persecution.
She told me, “I still keep the book Zhuan Falunthat you sent me years ago close to me. I often read it. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good! Even though I don't practice, reading the book makes me feel calm and peaceful. It benefits my health, my work, and my relationships. I just don't understand why the government has to suppress it!”
I was deeply moved by her words. I remembered at the beginning of the persecution, the first thing the government did was destroy the books. Many people were so scared that they burned the book secretly. Yet she has kept her copy and reads it often. She truly has a strong sense of justice!
In 2010, a former classmate called me. She sounded really stressed and said, “My mother’s been diagnosed with late-stage cancer that is beyond treatment. I’ve thought about it for a long time. I know my request might bring you danger, but I know only that your practice and your master can save her.”
I mailed her Master Li's Fa lectures and Dafa music. But I couldn't do more to help her. Several months later, her mother passed away peacefully.
When Bo Xilai, former secretary of Chongqing and one of the principle perpetrators of the persecution, was arrested in March of 2013, she sent me a message. “Dear Sister, Justice will prevail soon.” She thought that once Bo was in custody, the time to bring Jiang Zemin (the former head of the communist regime who ordered the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999) to justice would not be far off. Her heart is in the right place!
