(Minghui.org) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched a nationwide campaign against Falun Gong, a mind-body practice also known as Falun Dafa, in July 1999. Twenty years have passed, and Falun Gong practitioners have never stopped their efforts to inform the public of the lack of legal basis of the persecution.
More and more people in China have realized that Falun Gong practitioners should never have been persecuted for exercising their constitutional right to freedom of belief. Many have stood up to support practitioners and condemn the CCP for its crimes against Falun Gong. Below are two first hand accounts from two Falun Gong practitioners.
A few friends and I dined out together in early April. They all know that I am a Falun Gong practitioner and are disgusted with the CCP for its use of political power to oppress the Chinese people, especially Falun Gong practitioners. Some of them have renounced their membership in the CCP.
Present at the table was a deputy political education chief, who is also director of the High School Political Teaching and Research Section. He became a little drunk during the meal. He said to another friend, the political education director at a middle school sitting next to him, “We are all political liars. We teach students propaganda glorifying the CCP's oppression of its own people and the kids have to study it as part of the academic requirements.”
A third friend, a finance executive, said jokingly, “So, you guys are big liars?”
The last of our group, a pharmacist, raised his glass and said, “No one should believe what you're teaching about politics!”
They all laughed loudly and later praised me for being an upright person with integrity.
I went to see a fellow practitioner one day after work. To save time, my son and I stopped by a fast food restaurant to grab a quick bite.
While waiting for the food, I gave two copies of the book “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” to two people next to me. By just looking at the name of the book, they commented that the CCP is so corrupt.
I said to them, “This book tells you the history of the communist regime and their brutal political campaigns. Please read it.”
A man in his fifties also came over to look at the book. He asked me what religion I believe in.
He said, “Do not tell me you believe in Falun Gong. I am a SWAT policeman. I can easily make a phone call to bring more officers and patrol cars to arrest people.”
“But,” he went on, “I no longer do that now. Falun Gong practitioners are good people. Those who have persecuted the practitioners have no good end.”
I said, “It's wonderful that you understand the facts and know the goodness of Falun Gong. You will be blessed if you treat the practitioners kindly and protect them.”
He said happily, “So I will be blessed if I don't arrest you?”
“You certainly will be blessed!”
“Falun Gong practitioners are good people.” he repeated again.
I am so happy for him.
