1. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Cong Arrested

Mr. Li Cong from Qingshan Township was arrested by officers from the Qingshan Township Police Station on May 31, 2019.

2. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Peng Xia and Ms. Wang Mei Arrested

Ms. Peng Xia and Ms. Wang Mei were arrested by officers from the Xinbao'an Town Police Station on the morning of May 31, 2019. Both practitioners have returned home.

3. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Fan Yanqi Passes Away Due to Persecution

Mr. Fan Yanqi, 60, from Jimo District, was given a 10-year prison term in 2009. He was severely persecuted in prison. It was reported that Mr. Fan suffered from serious illnesses in prison from 2017 to 2018, and he passed away shortly after he returned home.

4. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Wenjuan Held in Custody

Ms. Liu Wenjuan, 60, from Zhifu District, was arrested by officers from the Fu'an Police Station, Zhifu District, when she was talking to others about Falun Gong on May 10, 2019. She was held in the Fushan Detention Center. Her husband went to the detention center, brought her some clothes, and asked to meet her on May 29. The detention center officials did not allow him to leave the clothes, nor was he allowed to meet her.

5. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced; Another Fined

Three practitioners were sentenced to prison by the Wulian District Court on May 14, 2019. Mr. Wang Hongwu was given a three-year prison term and fined 10,000 yuan. Mr. Zhao Qiuwu was given a two-year prison term and fined 10,000 yuan. Ms. Zhao Yuhua was sentenced to being monitored for one year, and fined 5,000 yuan.

Ms. Lin Lili was fined 5,000 yuan by the Wulian District Court on May 14, 2019.

6. [Chongqing] Ms. Tang Bin Sentenced

Ms. Tang Bin from the Guojiatuo area, Jiangbei District, was arrested around February 15, 2019. She was held in the Fusheng Detention Center. Her case was turned over to the court, and she was sentenced in May 2019.

7. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhong Hua and Ms. Ran Wenfang Arrested

Ms. Zhong Hua and Ms. Ran Wenfang were reported and arrested when they were talking to others about Falun Gong on May 26, 2019.

8. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Han Xu Arrested

Mr. Han Xu was arrested on May 29, 2019. His whereabouts are unknown. He has been persecuted on numerous occasions.

9. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Eight Elderly Practitioners Sentenced

It was recently learned that eight elderly practitioners were sentenced and fined by Yingze District Court after being held for about one year.

Ms. Sun Zhifen, 60, and Ms. Wang Suping, 67, were sentenced to ten years of imprisonment and fined 30,000 yuan. Ms. Zhang Qingxiang, 69, and Ms. Tian Yuqin, 60, were each given six-year terms and fined 20,000 yuan. Mr. Luo Baojun, 62, was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan.

Ms. Zhang Runying, 71, was sentenced to two years of imprisonment and fined 10,000 yuan. Mr. Guo Runfeng, 68, and Ms. Hu Lanying, 65, were sentenced to one year of imprisonment. They were fined 6000 yuan and 5000 yuan, respectively.

10. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shao Changhua Sentenced

Zhenan District Court secretly tried Ms. Shao Changhua on May 19, 2019. They had so-called “witnesses” to present to the court. Ms. Shao was sentenced to three and a half years’ imprisonment on May 30, 2019.
