Before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) in 1999, I watched a television (TV) show about the miraculous healing powers of Falun Gong. The show interviewed a medical professor whose wife was diagnosed with cancer. Electrotherapy and chemotherapy had failed to help her. But, after practicing Falun Gong, she miraculously recovered her health.
I wanted to practice Falun Gong, but did not find a practice site until October. The coordinator told me that before the persecution began, there were almost 100 people practicing at that site, while now there were only a dozen.
I grew up in China, and knew that the CCP had persecuted good people via its political movements. My father was a businessman. After he was labeled a “rightist,” he became a victim of persecution in each of the CCP's political movements. Therefore, if the CCP is persecuting Falun Gong, I am more determined to practice Falun Gong.
After obtaining the Fa, I realized that cultivation was so much more than just the health benefits. It is Buddha Fa cultivation! I felt great joy for practicing Dafa, but I didn’t really understand the principles governing Dafa, and didn’t know how to cultivate my xinxing.
I started to memorize Zhuan Falun in 2005, and after memorizing it for the third time, I could better understand the Fa. After the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, I started to learn how to help people quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I went to tourist sites to help people quit the Party every other day, and every day since 2007.
I continued to memorize and then recite the Fa. Although I stopped reciting Zhuan Falun, I memorized Master’s poems, Hong Yin, Hong Yin II and Hong Yin III, and I’m in the middle of memorizing Hong Yin IV now.
Master said:
“Compassion can harmonize Heaven and Earth, ushering in springRighteous thoughts can save the people in this world” (“The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos,” Hong Yin II)
I realized that it was not easy for people from mainland China to come to Hong Kong, so I owe it to them to clarify the truth about Dafa. When the Nine Commentaries were published in 2004, I started to clarify the truth and help people quit the CCP. I couldn’t do it systematically at first, so I just told them, “Falun Dafa is good. Falun Gong is being persecuted by the CCP,” and “The whole world knows Falun Dafa is good, and you should know too.”
Master said:
“If our efforts to stop and expose the persecution by evildoers and the CCP are now being labeled as political, then we might as well spell things out completely—like what Falun Gong is, what the malevolent CCP is, and why the malevolent CCP wants to persecute Falun Gong.” (“We Are Not ‘Getting Political’”, The Essentials of Diligent Progress Vol. III)
When going out to clarify the truth, I bring with me small placards and a quit the CCP list with assumed names. I reach out to people outside of the restaurants where the tourists dine.
I hold a poster and tell people: “Falun Gong is a belief of the Buddha School. Now, Falun Gong has spread to over a hundred countries. The Tiananmen self-immolation is a hoax. Before the suppression by the Chinese communist regime, there was no suicide, no self-immolation. Falun Gong prohibits killing and teaches that committing suicide is a sin.
“China’s culture and history span over 5,000 years, with people believing in divine beings and having values. China is not the CCP and to love China isn’t the same as to love the CCP. The CCP can’t represent China’s traditional culture. Instead, the CCP is an atheist entity that advocates class struggle. Its founder Marx believed in Satan. Class struggles are all about political movements! There were numerous movements, such as the Land Reform, ‘Three Anti’ campaign, ‘Five Anti’ campaign, Anti-Rightist Movement, Cultural Revolution, Tiananmen Massacre. Elites were killed and traditional culture was destroyed.
“Jiang Zemin ordered the eradication of Falun Gong, and he said that killing Falun Gong practitioners is counted as practitioners having committed suicide; nothing is inappropriate when torturing them. His directive was 'ruin their reputation, bankrupt them financially, and eliminate them physically,' which even has gone as far as organ harvesting from living practitioners.
“Jiang has been sued overseas. If the people don’t bring him to justice, Heaven will. The CCP will be disintegrated. Divine beings want to eliminate it.
“When you joined the CCP and its youth organizations, you had to vow to give your life for the CCP. All elderly Chinese people are aware that one shouldn’t casually make a vow. When you raise your fist and vow to dedicate your life to it, the CCP will put the mark of the beast on your soul, therefore you’ll be held accountable for every single bad deed it has done. Only by renouncing CCP, will the mark of the beast be removed and its bad deeds not linked to you anymore.
“I wish you all well. Don’t become a scapegoat of the CCP and remain a member of the CCP. You could use a pen name or nickname to quit the CCP on The Epoch Times website. It’s an action that involves your conscience and spiritual well-being. It won’t affect your daily work and life, you do it for divine beings.”
Some tourists ask if we are being paid to come out to these tourist sites. I tell them, “Mainland Falun Gong practitioners clarify the truth, hand out fliers, for which they are sentenced, imprisoned, tortured, or even killed, and their organ harvested, are they being paid? If we were rich, we would purchase a space satellite and broadcast to you 24 hours non-stop, then I wouldn’t be here talking. We are here to awaken your conscience, to stop this persecution, and to bring the wicked to justice.”
Some tourists said that officials have ordered them to not listen to us, nor take or read any Falun Gong information. In these cases we should still tell them with compassion, “There is freedom of speech in Hong Kong; you shouldn’t give up your right to know, and it won’t hurt to listen. I am telling you the facts. I do not ask you to go against the CCP, I’m just telling you to discern good from evil.
“Taoism cultivates truthfulness, Buddhism cultivates compassion, Falun Gong cultivates Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Falun Gong believes in divine beings, and educates people to be a better person. Falun Gong is persecuted for its innocence. Persecuting a religion is to eradicate divine beings, which will bring massive karma. In previous dynasties, people who had committed such atrocities were punished by divine beings. The CCP doesn’t believe in divine beings, which results in the decline of morality. Gambling, prostitution, drugs and corruption run rampant.”
Some tourists are afraid of being spied on by CCP agents, while some say that Falun Gong has nothing to do with them. I tell them, “In the choice between good and evil, divine beings have to look at your true thoughts. If you have not declared your stance before the CCP dissolves, who knows whether you are to stay or are to be eliminated? So, everybody has to declare how they choose their future. Divine beings will bless good people, and good people are rewarded. One who learns the truth will have rewards as well. Distinguish good from evil, and take Heaven's blessing home.”
Master said:
“Even when in your daily life you pass by people so quickly that you don't have a chance to talk to them, you should still leave them with your compassion and kindness.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference”, Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. IV)
To those who don’t quit I tell them kindly, “It’s okay, learn more and see more. If you don’t quit at this stop, you can always quit at the next one.
For tourists who are CCP cadres or high ranking officials, I bring up the CCP's organ harvesting from living practitioners. “Guo Boxiong and Xu Caihou, the two former Central Military Commission vice-chairmen, were promoted by Jiang. The two were the major personnel in charge of live organ harvesting, using the army's logistical force. They industrialized the organ harvesting, and did business with practitioners’ organs. Could there be any justification for this? Xu is dead, as retribution for the evil he has done. Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai, Ling Jihua, Guo Boxiong were sentenced to life imprisonment.” Some tourists have heard the facts before, and after my explanation, they understand. It is easier to help them quit the CCP.
When talking to the elderly, I stress the CCP’s killing and torturing people during each of its movements. I tell them that the CCP harvests organs from living practitioners, which is not allowed by the Divine. If people don’t repent, the Divine will punish them.
It is Falun Gong that is being persecuted today. However, it may be someone else tomorrow. When the tourists understand what I say, they will quit. Some still hesitate and to them I say, “Don’t become the CCP’s scapegoat.”
To the younger generation, I say, “The CCP’s founder Marx is white, with a high nose and a big beard. He believed in Satan. It has nothing to do with Chinese traditional culture. China has 5,000 years of civilization, belief in divine beings, and respect for ethical values.”
To students, I talk about the self-immolation.
Some tourists come with children or babies. I tell them, “The CCP has done countless bad deeds. It will collapse. The mark of the beast which you received when you vowed to join the CCP needs to be removed. Only by quitting the CCP will you not be held accountable for its bad deeds. You treasure your children, and your well-being will ensure the well-being of your children.”
Sometimes when clarifying the truth, a group of people will surround me. One person learned the truth and was given an assumed name to quit. Before she responds, others would immediately reply “Okay” for her. So, I would help a few or more to quit at the same time. If time allows I clarify the truth more, otherwise, I talk less. Sometimes I talk to people while walking. I only talk about the key points, and if the tourists understand, they agree to quit the CCP.
As the Fa-rectification progresses, many have realized that the CCP is not good, but they don’t dare to openly say it. Policemen are also people to whom I clarify the truth. Sometimes, when I happened to meet security guards, janitors, or construction workers, I always seize the chance to clarify truth and help them quit CCP.
One day, a group of tourists asked if I could do the Falun Gong exercise. I gladly demonstrated them. I sat in the full lotus position. Then, to explain the Tiananmen hoax, I opened the placards and pointed at Wang Jindong who can barely sit cross legged in the photo [not even seated in the half-lotus]. It is also clear that his body was covered in fire resistant apparel.
I continued, “Li Dongsheng used to work in the media sector; the self-immolation hoax was staged by him, along with Luo Gan who was the then Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission.
“When initiating a political movement, the CCP provokes hatred first, and then starts persecuting. Virtue has its reward, and evil has its retribution, Li Dongsheng was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in 2015.” In the end, the entire group quit the CCP.
Sometimes I may encounter interference. Once when I was talking to a large group of tourists, someone came to harass me. I knew she was deceived by the CCP. I explained the truth to her briefly and then ignored her, as I didn’t want her to be the center of attention and distract others from hearing the truth. But, she didn’t leave. Instead, she followed me everywhere. I then clarified the truth to her in detail. She understood. I gave her a copy of the Minghui Weekly, after which she left.
Another day, a person who lives nearby came to provoke an argument and said that we were traitors. I then showed her the photo of the territories that Jiang ceded to Russia. I told this person that Jiang is a real traitor. She showed up for several days. I looked inward and realized that I had a competitive attachment. I decided to eliminate this attachment and sent forth righteous thoughts to correct myself and eliminate the evil that was manipulating her. Later, when she came again, I was very calm, and clarified the truth to her. She accepted what I said and didn’t come again.
The evil gang is harming themselves unknowingly. Sometimes I think they are very pitiful, and I should hold compassion towards them.
Master said,
“So, regardless of the setting or circumstances in which you run into problems, you must maintain a compassionate and merciful heart in handling everything. If you cannot love your enemy, then you cannot reach Consummation.” (“Teaching the Fa at the Fa Conference in Australia”)
Therefore, when new people join those that harass me, I clarify the truth to them. However, not everyone is willing to listen.
I once chatted with one of the people who regularly harassed me who claimed to be a Christian. I told him, “Christians believe in God. How can you do such a thing [harass Falun Gong practitioners]? The red dragon in “The Book of Revelation” in the Bible is the CCP. In other dimensions, the CCP is an evil red dragon. Jesus is a God. The CCP promotes atheism. A person believing in God is working for atheists to persecute righteous believers.” He no longer shows up to harass me.
The interference and tests that these people have brought to our truth-clarification site are immense. Apart from sending forth righteous thoughts, we have to be strict with ourselves, observe the standards of cultivators, and maintain our xinxing. In order to minimize the interference, we have to try our best to suppress these people's evil side.
As long as we try our best to clarify the truth, Master will give us wisdom. Master will bring predestined people to us. I realize we need to save as many people as we can. Thus, whenever there is a Dafa activity, I always take the opportunity to clarify the truth between sessions. When we hold parades, I help pedestrians and tourists quit the CCP along the parade route. Although it is tiring, as long as people will learn the truth it is worth it! While clarifying the truth, I always encounter all sorts of interference and tests, some bitter, some joyful. I know that all of these are for my cultivation.
