(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. I am so lucky in this lifetime to have this precious chance to cultivate Falun Dafa. Over the past 20 years, it has given me so much. Dafa purified me, a life burdened with karma, into a Fa-rectification period Dafa practitioner. And my friends and relatives have also benefited from Dafa.
I would like to share several of my memorable experiences.
I have a friend whose mother was a devout Buddhist. She introduced me to Buddhism years ago. After I started to practice Falun Dafa, I took her a copy of the book Zhuan Falun. But she wasn't interested and didn't want to read it.
More than ten years later, I went to visit her. It happened that she and her daughter-in-law were in a conflict and couldn't get over it. I shared with her my personal understandings about cultivation: “You are a Buddhist, so your realm should be higher than the level of ordinary people. If you quarreled with her, then didn't you drop to her level? Aren't you at the same level as she?”
She was surprised to hear me say that and seemingly awakened from a big dream. Then she fussed at me, “What a great Fa! Why didn't you share this with me sooner?”
I said, “I told you about this more than ten years ago, but you just couldn't accept it. It's not too late if you can understand it now.”
Remorseful and upset, she said, “I've been cultivating for decades, but all in vain. What should I do now?”
“You didn't practice in vain,” I said and quoted something Master Li Hongzhi said:
“We will straighten out all these matters and, by preserving the good part and removing the bad part, ensure that you are able to practice cultivation later.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)
“What should I do now?” she asked.
I told her, “Study the Fa teachings. Tell people the facts about Falun Dafa and save them.”
Once she picked up Zhuan Falun, she read it all the time. As she said, “Once you pick it up, you never want to put it down.”
Since then, she has been telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and saving people.
My daughter was near the bottom her class when she was admitted to junior high school. When I started practicing Falun Dafa, she was on her summer vacation and I took her to the practice site every day.
My daughter treated Fa study and cultivation practice very seriously. When she was very young, her right foot got caught in a bicycle wheel and she was seriously hurt. She recovered, but there was a place on her right foot that had only a layer of skin covering the bone and no muscle. However, after practicing for a month, new tender flesh filled in the depression on her foot. Additionally, the scar on her face from when she fell as a child also disappeared. I was so excited, I couldn't find the words to express my thanks to Master.
She placed second in the first exam after school started and then first in the mid-term. After that, she continued to rank first in her class. I asked her, “Who should you thank for such good grades?” She replied, “I should thank Master for opening my wisdom.”
In later exams, apart from a 90 in Chinese, she made 100's in all her other subjects. Her teachers and classmates asked her, “How are you suddenly making such good grades?”
She asked me what she should say. I told her to tell them the truth and spread the Fa. When her classmates asked her the same question again, she told them, “It's because I practice Falun Dafa. Master gave me wisdom. That's why I do so well.”
When her classmates heard this, many of them came to learn Falun Gong and do the exercises. We set up a Fa study group especially for the kids. They all became very polite and understanding. They also steadily improved in their studies. When those kids grew up, they all went to key universities and got good jobs.
After the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, the head of the local 610 Office threatened me, “If you practice Falun Gong, your daughter will not be allowed to go to college no matter how good her scores are. She might overthrow the regime if she gets a job in the government.”
I thought to myself, “Master decides everything.”
When my daughter was in high school, I was sent to a forced labor camp. There was no one to care of her. She cooked simple food by herself after school. Eventually she was admitted to a key university. The labor camp guards couldn't understand this and said, “It's unbelievable. Why do the kids of Falun Gong practitioners do so well in school even when they have no one to take care of them?”
After my daughter went to university, they threatened me again, “Your daughter can study at a university now, but she will never be allowed to study abroad in the future.”
I said, “My master has the final say.”
As it turned out, my daughter not only studied abroad, but also got a full scholarship and graduated with a Ph.D. Now she is a high-tech talent. All these were blessings from Master and Dafa.
One day I ran into an old friend who was leaning on her husband as they walked. I asked her, “What happened?”
She was very depressed and told me, “I have macular atrophy. There is no cure for it. I went blind.”
She looked miserable. I told her the facts about Falun Dafa and added, “Do not be afraid. Repeat 'Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' sincerely and Gods and Buddhas will bless you.”
She did as I suggested and kept saying “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” A year later, she recovered her sight. She and her husband are very grateful to Master for his saving grace.
Two years ago, when I was working in a logistics company, a lady in her 30s asked me if I could find a copy of a particular invoice. From her eyes, I could tell she had been crying, so I asked her what had happened.
She told me that she and her husband had run a successful tea business for years, but her husband had died suddenly of an acute illness. Many who owed them money didn't acknowledge their debts when they heard of his death. One merchant who'd had a very good relationship with her husband was one of them. When she showed the merchant the debit slip for more than 200,000 yuan, the merchant refused to pay her and said he had already paid it. She tried several times but failed to recover the money.
She was distraught, so I comforted her and told her the facts about Falun Dafa. I explained to her the principle of “no loss, no gain” that I'd learned in Zhuan Falun. I said her, “It's better if you can get repaid, but if you don't, don't be mad. It could be because you owed him in your previous life, and now you are repaying him. If you do not owe him anything and he has your money, then Gods and Buddhas will repay you with better things, possibly having him share his virtue and blessings with you, and you sharing your ailments, pains, and disasters with him. So just take it lightly.”
She covered her heart and said, “For a long time, I've been feeling as if my heart was heavy. After listening to your explanation, I understand now and feel very well. Thank you.”
I said, “You should thank my master. Keep in mind and sincerely repeat, 'Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' Gods and Buddhas will then bless you.”
She smiled and left.
A month later, she told me that the merchant had paid her the 200,000 yuan he owed. She also told me, “I'd never listened to anyone explain the truth about Falun Dafa to me before. I even threw away Dafa information that was given to me. Now I know that Dafa is great, so I will cherish those flyers in the future.”
She asked me how to deal with the Dafa materials in the tea boxes that she received in her business. I told her to put them back after reading them and just ship them with the goods. She said she would follow my advice. She expressed her thanks to Master again and again.
