(Minghui.org) The 2019 Finland Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held in Helsinki on Sunday, March 17. Fourteen Finnish Falun Dafa practitioners presented their cultivation experience sharing papers. The experiences shared at the conference helped practitioners learn from each other, look within to better themselves in cultivation, and fulfill their historic missions to help people awaken to the truth about Falun Dafa.

A young practitioner from Vietnam was very attached to time when she started the practice five years ago. She didn't think she'd have enough time to complete cultivation, so she participated in many activities to try to catch up with the progress of Fa rectification. As a result she went to extremes in her daily life and stopped having contact with her family.
As she gradually improved in the practice, she realized that people judge Falun Dafa based on practitioners' behavior. She slowly corrected herself and kept good relations with her family. Her father no longer has a negative impression of Falun Dafa and her aunt has started to practice it.
Mr. Ma was troubled by not being able to truly look within. Every time he searched for his attachments, he was never able to dig deeper, and his thoughts were not based on Fa principles. “And I wasn't able to do so spontaneously, either,” he said.
Mr. Ma then began to memorize the Fa. “Gradually I learned that looking within is about measuring my every thought against the Fa constantly. It is to find the ideas, notions, behaviors, and attachments that do not conform to the Fa principles and repeatedly eliminate them. It is a process.”
He gave an example. His wife wasn't a practitioner, but she at times measured his behavior against the Fa principles. On one occasion he did the dishes in a rush because he had to leave soon. The dishes weren't very clean. His wife didn't comment on it and insisted that he finish sweeping the floor before he left. He got upset, thinking that if she wanted to she would find chores for him to do all day long. Resentful, he quickly finished sweeping the floor. His wife saw that the floor wasn't cleaned properly, either, and calmly said, “I can't believe that a person who can't even do a few chores well could succeed in his practice in the future.”
“Her perspective surprised me, and I thought that perhaps Master was speaking to me through my wife. I looked within and saw my attachments to rushing things, to complaining, and to ignoring things that I thought weren't important,” he said.
Ms. Dong had to host professional trainings at work and believed that not being tough would prevent her from doing her job well. The teachings of Falun Dafa made her realize that it was an attachment that needed to be eliminated. Just as she recognized her problem in this respect, she noticed that other practitioners had an attachment to being tough. She started to wonder whether she still had the attachment, and realized that she did.
“It manifested in learning Finnish,” she said. “At first I wanted to clarify the truth and save people and be able to speak with Finnish practitioners. As it got harder, progress was slow, so I devoted more time to learning it, and sometimes I even skipped doing the exercises. It was still very hard for me and my health worsened. I looked within but didn't really solve the problem. I didn't want to give in because I wanted to be perfect at it. It was the attachment of wanting to be tough! I didn't realize it until I saw this attachment in another practitioner. I looked within and seized this opportunity to improve myself.”
A Western Finnish practitioner shared, “When I am given a task, it is an opportunity to cultivate. You never know if you are able to do something if you don't give it a try. If you turn it down, there might not be another opportunity. Saving people is something that I need to keep in mind now. I know that I can ask Master Li (the founder) for help. But when I think too much, I make mistakes.”
