1. [Beijing] Mr. Li Wanqing Abused in Prison

Mr. Li Wanqing has been incarcerated in the First Ward in the Qianjin Prison. Zhang Chao, the First Ward warden, sprayed hot pepper water into Mr. Li's eyes.

2. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Tang Jinyu and Ms. Tan Xinqing Detained

Ms. Tang Jinyu, 70, and Ms. Tan Xinqing, 65, both from Xiaohan Town, were arrested on the morning of January 19, 2019 when they were distributing Falun Gong calendars. They are being held at the Guanghan Detention Center. Ms. Tang and Ms. Tan were subjected to five days and 15 days of detention, respectively.

3. [Zhongwei City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Mr. Sun Jianfeng Detained

Mr. Sun Jianfeng of Zhongning County was arrested at home by officers from the Zhongning Police Department on December 31, 2018, and taken to the Zhongning Detention Center.

4. [Haiyang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Caihong and Ms. Qi Yuling Imprisoned

Haiyang City practitioners Ms. Liu Caihong and Ms. Qi Yuling have been taken to the Jinan Women's Prison from the Fushan Detention Center in Yantai City.

5. [Korla City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Mr. Zhou Piwen and Mr. Guo Mu Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zhou Piwen and Mr. Guo Mu were sentenced to two years and two-and-a-half years in prison, respectively, in December 2018 by the Korla Court. Mr. Guo has appealed. They are being held at the Korla City Detention Center and have been denied visits from their families.

6. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Zhenwei Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zhenwei of Cang County was arrested by officers Li Yongsheng, Wang Zhipeng, and others from the Cang County Police Department on January 15, 2019. His home was ransacked.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Niu Zhanhua Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Niu Zhanhua from Faku County was sentenced to three years in prison by the Faku County Court.

8. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Gao Fengqin Arrested

Ms. Gao Fengqin was arrested at home on December 27, 2018.
