(Minghui.org) On the occasion of Chinese New Year 2019, along with Falun Gong practitioners, many non-practitioners sent New Year greetings to the founder of the practice, Master Li Hongzhi.
Since the persecution began in China in 1999, a large percentage of Chinese in China and around the world had been deceived by the regime and held misconceptions about Falun Gong. Through time and practitioners' efforts to raise awareness, more and more Chinese learned the real situation. Many express admiration for Falun Gong practitioners' courage and peaceful resistance.
Attorney Ye Ning has admired Falun Gong for several years and said, “I've always had great respect for Master Li.”
In his greetings, he said: “The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is brutally persecuting Falun Gong. They even carry out genocide by harvesting organs from living practitioners. In the face of such brutal persecution, Falun Gong practitioners have remained steadfast in their belief. So, in this battle between righteousness and evil, the Party has already lost.”
“The history of the CCP is bloody and it has persecuted many spiritual groups. No group could successfully stand up against the Party. Only Falun Gong has been able to.”
“Falun Gong practitioners are the most morally upright people in China. They are China's backbone. By following Master Li's guiding principles they are able to quietly stand up to the CCP, without resorting to violence. This has never happened in the world before. The Party's persecution of practitioners will lead to it's downfall and ultimate disintegration.”
“As the New Year approaches I sincerely wish Master Li a good year and success in the war for humanity's freedom.”
Mr. Lou Xinyue, the founder and the CEO of the Long Innovations International Group Inc., and chair of the Asian Affairs Association in New York, believes that the persecution of Falun Gong will end.
He said, “Falun Gong practitioners are not afraid of the tyrants or the persecution. They stand up for the truth and their belief. They represent righteousness and morality. I believe that they are the elites of the Chinese people, and they are the pioneers. History will acknowledge them.”
“With the New Year approaching I send Master Li my greatest respect. Falun Gong practitioners have made great contributions to traditional Chinese culture, and I wish them even greater success this year.”
Mr. Chen Chuangchuang, trustee of the Chinese Democracy Education Foundation and the Independent Federation of Chinese Students and Scholars, talked about how he came to understand and support Falun Gong.
“When I was in China I listened to the CCP’s propaganda, and so like many Chinese, I had misunderstandings about Falun Gong.”
“Later a friend asked me: 'How has Falun Gong hurt you? Practitioners just want to cultivate themselves and become better people. The Party is slandering them.' I was awakened by that conversation and realized that I shouldn't just blindly listen to the CCP.”
Mr. Chen said, “But I didn't know about the details or the extent of the persecution until I came to the U.S. It's so horrible, especially the forced organ harvesting. It's being carried out on such a large scale. If a person has a conscience, they will feel the pain. Why have so few people spoken out and tried to stop this ugliness? Many people pretend that they don't know about it.”
“As we celebrate Chinese New Year, I want to thank Falun Gong practitioners for their 20-year long peaceful resistance, and for waking up and saving so many people. I hope more people can know what Falun Gong really is, and learn about their great contributions.”
“I feel sad that many people are still being deceived by the CCP and misunderstand Falun Gong.”
“I've never met Master Li, but I greatly respect the practitioners that I know. I believe that Master Li must be great and benevolent, because so many people from all walks of life follow his teachings and are good people. I hope that more people will know that Falun Gong is a compassionate group. I wish Master Li a Happy New Year!”
Mr. Zhang Jian from New York City, said he respects Falun Gong.
He said, “The Falun Gong practitioners I know are different from other people. They are honest and sincere. Not only are they different than what the Party claims, but also they are better than nice people. Practitioners are kind and forgiving. They are not attached to their personal interests. From being around them, I can see how different a person with belief is from a person without belief. After you talk to them for a even a short time, you can sense the positive energy coming from them. I am particularly moved by their genuine spirituality.”
“I wish Master Li Hongzhi a Happy New Year and good health. I also wish all the practitioners big success in their cultivation.”
“I hope that practitioners will keep up the good work of exposing the CCP's crimes, so that the whole world will learn of their evil doings. I hope that practitioners will continue to spread the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, so that it reaches every corner of the world.”
