(Minghui.org) Ms. Feng Yunqing, a resident in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, was sentenced to 7.5 years in September 2018 for practicing Falun Gong. Her appeal with Wuhan Intermediate Court was rejected two months later, and she is currently serving time at Wuhan Women's Prison.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body practice based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The Chinese communist party has been persecuting the practice since July 1999.

Following her arrest on May 22, 2017, Ms. Feng was sent to Wuhan First Detention Center. Officers involved in the arrest were from Wuhan Police Department and Houhu Police Station.

Hanyang Court accepted Ms. Feng's case on March 2, 2018 and sentenced her to 7.5 years in July.

The prison officials forbade Ms. Feng's family from visiting her, saying that it would be allowed only after she writes statements to renounce her belief.
