(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yitong County, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhang Zhen Detained

Mr. Zhang Zhen, in his 70s, was arrested on October 31, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was taken to Yitong County Detention Center.

2. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Guixia, Ms. Hu Xiufen, Ms. Wang Shukun, Ms. Liu Xiuzhen, Ms. Chen Xiangyun, and Ms. Nie Rongqin from the Mining Bureau, Xi District, were arrested by officers from Qingxiangping Police Station on September 25, 2019.

The officers ransacked Ms. Hu’s home, and confiscated three Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Zhang, Ms. Hu, and Ms. Wang returned home in the early hours of the following morning. Ms. Liu, Ms. Chen, and Ms. Nie are being held in Wanyaoshu Detention Center.

Another practitioner, Mr. You Yuanzhang, was arrested on the morning of September 25. He was released on bail on October 27.

3. [Lu County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Huajun Arrested

Ms. Xie Huajun from Qifeng Town was arrested in early October 2019. Her home was ransacked.

4. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wu Junming Arrested

Officer Cheng and others from Lixia District Domestic Security Division broke into Mr. Wu Junming’s home and ransacked it on the afternoon of October 3, 2019. They confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Dafa books, a printer, a desktop computer, a cell phone, and printed materials.

Mr. Wu was taken to the Longdonglu Police Station, before being transferred to Jinan City Detention Center early the following morning. He was released on bail that afternoon for health reasons, but only after his daughter was forced to pay 10,000 yuan.

5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xuan Xiaomei, Ms. Lu Huijuan, and Ms. Zhu Peiqin were arrested by officers from Fengqiao Police Station on the afternoon of April 26, 2019. They were taken to Suzhou City No. 4 Detention Center. Ms. Lu and Ms. Zhu were subsequently released on bail. Ms. Xuan was officially placed under arrest by the Wujiang County Procuratorate. Ms. Zhu and Ms. Xuan's cases have been turned over to the Wujiang City Court.

Ms. Ji Guizhen was arrested on September 23, and taken to Loufeng Police Station. She was released on bail later that evening. Her case was turned over to the Wujiang Procuratorate on the afternoon of October 24.

6. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Huaping Sentenced to a Six-Year Prison Term

Ms. Yang Huanping was arrested by officers from Xingtang County Police Department on October 25, 2019. She was taken to Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center by officers from Qiaoxi District Police Department.

Ms. Yang was recently sentenced to a six-year prison term by the Qiaoxi Court.

7. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhou Jianhong Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Zhou Jianhong from Huzhen Town was arrested at home in late August 2019. She was taken to Xiaoyun Brainwashing Center.

8. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Li Xiulan Arrested

Ms. Li Xiulan, in her late 60s, was arrested on the afternoon of October 31, 2019. The police ransacked her home, and confiscated Falun Dafa books, an audio player, and printed materials.

Ms. Li was taken to a police station for interrogation. The police forcibly took her fingerprints. She was released in the early hours of the next day.

9. [Zunyi City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Zaiying Detained

Ms. Yang Zaiying from Honghuagang District was arrested at home on the morning of August 29, 2019. The police ransacked her residence, and confiscated an MP3 player, a desktop computer, and printed materials. She was taken to Honghuagang District Police Department for interrogation.

Ms. Yang was transferred to Zunyi City No. 2 Detention Center that evening for 15 days. She has since returned home.
