France: Tourists Touched by Practitioners' Peaceful Protest

October 28, 2019 |   By a Minghui correspondent

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners introduced the meditation practice on Human Rights Square next to the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Sunday, October 20, 2019. They also raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, especially its state-sanctioned live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners for profit. Many tourists were shocked and signed a petition to protest the persecution.

Laurence Quittlier and her friend Tracy came from Belgium. When a practitioner told them about the organ harvesting from practitioners in China, both of them were moved to tears. Laurence said, “No matter in which country, this is something that should not happen. Killing for organs is inhuman behavior. It must be stopped.”

Upon seeing the practitioners' exercise demonstration, many tourists wished to learn Falun Gong. Some followed along with the practitioners’ movements, and others asked about group exercise sites nearby.

When one man saw the practitioners meditating, he exclaimed that he had a dream in which he meditated like Falun Gong practitioners.

Businesswoman Sylvie Trompetta said, “When I saw the news about live organ harvesting, I was worried and sad. The world we live in is undergoing great changes. But the world is totally unbalanced.”

She continued, “Every country should maintain its own authenticity and share common values in order to improve the global environment.”

“I object to all crimes against humanity,” Sylvie said.

Aurore Flamant, a tourist, said, “I am terrified and shocked. Falun Gong practitioners are still being persecuted today. Such persecution is despicable and shameless.”

“I often pray for more peace in the world. We still have a lot to do. I believe everything will change.”

She encouraged practitioners to keep up their efforts.
