(Minghui.org) I have noticed that people usually feel uplifted after learning the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution.

At a shopping mall, I once met a vendor in his 40s who looked depressed, so I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to him. He listened and then shared his story with me.

His family, once farm owners, was targeted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) during the Cultural Revolution. His mother was persecuted until she had a mental breakdown. He wanted to get a college degree to help his family have a better life and studied very hard when he got in. Then the 1989 Tiananmen Square protest happened and changed everything.

He and a classmate had delivered lunch to the spouse of a former top CCP official who supported the student protesters. Unfortunately, he was caught on government videotape on Tiananmen Square and had to leave Beijing for his safety.

He went to stay with a relative in Tianjin. The next day, the military opened fire on the students and killed many of them. His relative was terrified and asked him to leave. He could not return home since the police were looking for him. After that, he had to move frequently.

I told him, “Falun Dafa has embraced in over 100 countries. It is truly a good practice. You will be blessed if you believe the truth.”

“There is no point now,” he replied. “I have nothing left. It won't help even if I quit the CCP.”

He looked so despondent that I did not want to push him about withdrawing from the Party and its youth organizations. I left two Dafa informational booklets and said, “Read them carefully. Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice. It will bring you blessings.”

I went to his booth a few days later and he seemed happier than the last time. I asked him if he had read the booklets and further explained the truth to him. When I asked if he wanted to quit the Party, he readily agreed.

I visited his booth again a long time later. He had changed completely. He was smiling, relaxed, and full of energy. “How's business?” I asked.

“It has been much better,” he said. “Now I usually make 300-500 yuan a day, sometimes, up to a thousand.” When I first met him, he said he only made less than 100 yuan per day.

I told him he was blessed thanks to Dafa and to remember: “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
