1. [Ning'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xu Guozhen Arrested

Ms. Xu Guozhen, in her 70s, was arrested on January 13, 2019, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

2. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Yutang Beaten in Prison

Mr. Zhang Yutang is being held in the No. 5 Ward of Qiqihar Prison. He was viciously beaten by Ding, head of the guards, for refusing to do the hard labor.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Yang Guang Detained

Ms. Yang Guang was recently arrested when she delivered copies of The Ultimate Goal of Communism. She is being held in the Dongcheng Detention Center.

4. [Longhua County, Hebei Province] Five Practitioners Held in Prison

Mr. Xu Guangdong, Mr. Liu Guohai, and Mr. Li Hongwen are being held in the Jidong Prison, Tangshan City.

Ms. Yu Fengyun and Ms. Liu Guoxia are being held in the Hebei Province Women's Prison.

5. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Jing's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Sun Jing went to talk to people about Falun Gong near the Xiaoguan Town Farmers' Market in the Wendeng District on January 12, 2019. No one has been able to contact her since then, and her whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Changde City, Hunan Province] Mr. Liu Fenggao and Ms. Yin Hong Mistreated in Prison

Mr. Liu Fenggao's wife recently visited him in Wangling Prison in Zhuzhou City. From the other side of the glass, Mr. Liu's wife saw that his hair had turned completely gray and he appeared physically and mentally exhausted. His whole body was swollen, and his face was deformed.

Ms. Yin Hong, incarcerated in the Hunan Province Women's Prison, has been severely mistreated to the point that she is very thin and weak. Her hearing and vision are almost completely gone. She has trouble walking and difficulty taking care of herself.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhu Qiyu and Ms. Yu Qing Arrested

Ms. Zhu Qiyu, in her 70s, and Ms. Yu Qing, in her 50s, from the Liangping District were arrested by several plainclothes officers on the morning of January 12, 2019, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong.

8. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Fu Fazhi Detained

Ms. Fu Fazhi, 76, from the Xindu District, did not return home after going out on the afternoon of November 25, 2018. There was no word of her whereabouts despite numerous inquiries.

It was later learned that Ms. Fu had been arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Pi County Detention Center.

9. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lai Shengrong Arrested

Ms. Lai Shengrong from Sanshui Town was arrested by officer Qing Sanjiang from the Sanshui Police Station on the morning of January 13, 2019, when she distributed Falun Gong calendars.
