(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Shan Lina in Fuxin City, Liaoning Province was taken to the Xindi Detention Center on December 21, 2018, and tried at the detention center on December 25. Three days later, she was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 5000 yuan.

Ms. Shan tried to appeal, but the court notified her that her application was invalid because she didn’t provide written documentation. The deadline for the appeal had also already expired.

It was learned that Ms. Shan is in poor health. Her husband is handicapped, cannot walk, and remains at home without care. Her husband’s sister had to hire someone to do the cleaning and grocery shopping. Plainclothes police officers watch her home every day.

Ms. Shan, in her fifties, was arrested at home on August 28, 2017. The officers who conducted her arrest included Cao Xu, an instructor at the 610 Office in Fuxin City, Feng Shuchao, along with an instructor from the Haizhou Police Department, and others, a total of over ten people.

The officers ransacked her home and confiscated four printers, two notebook computers, a computer chassis, and paper cutters. Ms. Shan was taken to the Xindi Detention Center. She failed the physical exam and was taken home by her husband that evening.

The police went to her home and harassed her again on April 27, 2018, and tried to force her to sign documents. Her case was filed with the Procuratorate on May 12, 2018, but was returned.

The police filed another charge against her in July 2018, which led to the latest trial and sentencing.
