(Minghui.org) As Falun Dafa practitioners, it is our responsibility to talk to people about the practice and the persecution. For more than a decade, we have been distributing fliers in neighborhoods, markets, and at temple fairs. We have also been encouraging people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. This has been part of our cultivation process.
When I first began talking to people about Falun Dafa, I only talked to those who were friendly. As time went by, I became able to talk to anyone, including village and county officials, and public security personnel.
Treating others as we would like to be treated ourselves is a form of compassion. And regardless of their professions, they are waiting to hear the truth about Falun Dafa. Our cultivation would not be complete without these people. Master Li said,
“As a practitioner, you must cultivate and temper yourself in the environment of everyday people and gradually abolish attachments and various desires.” (Zhuan Falun)
I was initially resentful towards officers from the Domestic Security Division and 610 Office. I then realized that they are the most pathetic people, with frightening futures given their roles in the persecution. During the height of the persecution, I once visited the Domestic Security Division leader's home. He got so angry that he refused to listen to me and kicked me out. He is now courteous however, and greets me whenever we see each other.
610 Office chiefs have since come and gone. As soon as one learns the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution, he is transferred to another post. Things change according to a practitioner's cultivation state.
Several practitioners and I clarified the truth to some households last year. Someone reported us to the 610 Office and they came after us. We ran separate ways. I was wearing sandals, so I could not run fast. A motorcycle drove by, and I quickly hopped on it.
I asked the driver to ride quickly and told him that the 610 Officers were after me. Little did I know that the driver was a 610 Officer. The motorcycle soon stopped and a man walked over to the bike. The driver said to me, “This is our director.”
I figured I could not run away, so I jumped off the motorcycle, and shook the director's hand. I said to him. “I've been wanting to talk to you, and now we have finally met!”
I took him under the shade of a tree and told him all about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I then asked him to summon his officers and call it a day. I said, “Let's wrap it up now. I can tell you more next time when I visit your home. It's hot today and your officers must be tired.” They left and I went home.
I went to the director's house on another day and shared more information with him. He was soon transferred.
Master said,
“No matter what it is you have encountered as you've gone about validating the Fa, it is all, I will tell you, a good thing--and that's especially so in these years of persecution--for those things have come about specifically because you do cultivation. Those ordeals and the suffering, no matter how great or harsh you find them to be, are good things, because they take place solely on account of your cultivation. A person can eliminate karma and shed human attachments when he goes through ordeals, and through ordeals he can improve. Whether your motive is to save sentient beings, to validate the Fa, or to make progress in your own cultivation, they are ordeals all the same. They aren't supposed to make way for you just because you think, “I'm doing this for Dafa” or “I'm doing this to save sentient beings.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference” from Teaching the Fa at the Conference VIII)
Our entire society has provided a cultivation environment for Dafa practitioners. It is in this complex environment where we eliminate human notions and attachments, and everyone is helping us progress with our cultivation!
In the final moment, let's have faith in Master and the Fa, go with the flow, walk our path well, and raise our levels together.
