(Minghui.org) When I passed by a residential area in December 2015, I saw a note posted on the blue bulletin board. I was curious and took a closer look and saw that it was a thank you note.
The note said, “I was the old man who was picking sweet potato leaves. My face is fine now. Thank you very much – your method is very useful. I want to see you again.”
As I read the note, I realized that I was the person mentioned in the note. I pass by this bulletin board every day, but this was the first time I'd seen such a note. At first I'd thought that it was an advertisement and had not expected that the elderly man would leave me a message in such a manner.
I recalled the incident. I'd seen an old man picking sweet potato leaves, his head covered with a thick mask. This was unusual, as it was a sunny day. So, I asked him, “Grandpa [a respectful greeting for an older person in China], how are you going to eat these sweet potato leaves?”
He looked at me and I could see by his eyes that he was smiling. That is when I guessed that he was about 80 years old. I asked him, “What happened to your face?”
He took the mask off, and I saw that half of his face was swollen so badly that his mouth was disfigured. Yellow liquid oozed from his mouth. He could barely talk.
I felt sad for him and offered, “Grandpa, I know of an effective way that could cure you. Please sincerely recite in your mind these words: 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good'.” He nodded. I taught him these two sentences word by word and asked if he could read. He nodded again. I asked him to wait for me. I told him I would go back home to get him something.
I came back with several Falun Dafa truth-clarifying brochures, including a video disk of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and also a Dafa amulet. He gladly accepted everything I gave him.
I asked if he'd spent a lot of money on trying to find a cure for his face, and he said that he had. I told him to read these materials and sincerely recite the two sentences whenever he had time. He agreed and kept on thanking me.
I left a message at the end of the thank you note: “Grandpa, I know your face is well now. Please let me know how can I contact you.” I also left my phone number and the date, “December 3, 2015.”
He called me a few days later and we met soon after. He no longer had to wear the mask. He had recited “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day. It took only one month for his face to return to normal – without any treatment. It was amazing! He had read all the materials I'd given him. He was thankful to Falun Dafa from deep within his heart.
The old gentleman lives quite far away, and thus seldom comes to our area. But, after he became well, whenever he came to this residential area he would wait for a while at the side of the road hoping to see me again. Later, he began leaving messages on the bulletin board.
He had left several notes on and off, but I did not see them. Even when it was snowing he'd waited for me. At last, I saw his note. When we finally met again, I told him about Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution. He was receptive to everything I said.
