Shandong Province: Ten Practitioners and a Relative from Gaomi City Arrested on the Same Day

(Minghui.org) Officers from the Xiguan Police Station in Gaomi City broke into the homes of Falun Gong practitioners to arrest them on June 5, 2018. We have since learned that more than 30 practitioners were arrested.

There are 10 confirmed arrests of practitioners, as well as one non-practitioner family member. These arrests may be related to the 18th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit on June 9 and 10 in Qingdao.

The police broke down Mr. Li Yulin's door.

Ms. Ju Zongmei was arrested at home by officers from the Xiguan Police Station, despite her husband having suffered a stroke and requiring around-the-clock care.

The police climbed over the wall with a ladder and broke into the home of Ms. Zhang Xiujuan. Ms. Zhang was arrested and so was her non-practitioner daughter Ms. Sun Yu, who refused to open the door for the police. The police ransacked the home and confiscated the family's computer and printer.

The police also broke into Ms. Shan Shulin's home and arrested her.

The 10 arrested practitioners and one non-practitioner family member are: Ms. Ju Zongmei, Mr. Li Yulin, elderly practitioner Ms. Cao, Ms. Chen Xiuzhen, a practitioner from out of town who visited Mr. Li Yulin's home, Ms. Zhang Xiujuan and her non-practitioner daughter Ms. Sun Yu, Ms. Zan Ruilian, Mr. Cao Jiuzhou, Ms. Xu Xiuying, and Ms. Shan Shuli.
