(Minghui.org) A practitioner from our city went to a nearby city and got dozens of booklets produced by the practitioners there. He took a taxi back and talked to the driver about Falun Gong. Before he got back home, a police car stopped him.

A few officers opened the rear door of the taxi and took the bag in which he put all the booklets.

“Where did you get these booklets?” they asked him.

“It doesn't matter where I got them. I didn't break any laws by having the booklets. You shouldn't stop me.” the practitioner answered.

“You didn't violate any laws?” the police stared at the practitioner.

“That's right! You can look up online yourself. Even the China Administration of Press and Publication repealed its ban on the publication of Falun Gong books in 2011. Why can't I get Falun Gong-related booklets?”

Without a word, the officers took the bag and got into their car. Before closing his door, one officer said to the practitioner: “You can go back home and continue your practice.” Then they left.

The practitioner was confused and thought, “Maybe the officers also want to practice Falun Gong now.”

According to another practitioner who had a relative working in the police department, the chief told officers during a recent internal meeting that they would dismiss Falun Gong cases in the future, as no law in China criminalizes Falun Gong. “There‘s no need for us to invite trouble for ourselves in the future,” they said.
