(Minghui.org) I have been practicing Falun Dafa for more than 20 years. To celebrate the 19th World Falun Dafa Day, I would like to share my cultivation experiences as a testimony to the beauty of Dafa.
I am 83 years old, and was born in a village. My family was poor and I had many siblings. I was sent away when I was around four years old. From a young age, I suffered many hardships.
I have three children, including a son and two daughters. My son is the eldest, but from the time he was small he was not close to me. He often argued with me, and no matter how well I treated him he was never satisfied. I don't know how many times I've shed tears over his attitude toward me.
Our relationship was so strained, that for more than ten years my son refused to return home. Even if we bumped into each other on the street he would ignore me. I was deeply hurt and wondered when my hardships would end.
My daughter introduced me to Falun Dafa in March 1994. I attended one of Master's lectures and listened to him teach the Fa in person.
I was severely nearsighted and had to wear glasses while reading the Fa. As I was eagerly reading one of Master's lectures one day, I had a thought, “How I wish I wouldn't have to wear glasses to read the Fa.” Master heard me and cured my nearsightedness.
I haven't since had to wear glasses. I can even read books written in small print! I have not taken a single pill over all these years because I've never fallen ill. I'm full of energy every day and my complexion is rosy. I have hardly any wrinkles on my face, and people say that I don't look like I'm in my eighties.
Since taking up cultivation I have become more forgiving. I understood that my relationship with my son was predestined. The hardships I went through were caused by my karmic debts.
One day my son brought his whole family to see me. If I wasn't a practitioner who followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, I wouldn't have forgiven him or let him in. He now comes to visit me every week.
I go out every day to clarify the facts about Dafa to people. Everyone in my family had renounced the Chinese communist regime except my son. When I tried to explain the facts to him, he argued with me.
My son came to visit one day and I asked my husband to talk to him about quitting the CCP. My son became upset and left angrily. I sent righteous thoughts so that his knowing side could be awakened. A moment later, he phoned and agreed to quit the Party.
He has since become a changed person. His health improved, his back stopped aching, and he became amiable. His son and daughter say that he is now a normal person. I know that it's because he was blessed by Master and Dafa after quitting the CCP. When I told him what I had learned from Dafa, he actually listened to me.
His wife told me, “Your son has changed. When I criticized you he forbade me from saying anything further.”
My son used to complain that I looked down on him and that his father treated him better. He refused to help us out at home. He now helps me set up my mobile phone, and adjust my clock and TV. He thinks of me all the time.
He has become calmer, and he gets along well with others at home and in his workplace. This is all due to the power of Dafa. I thank Master for rectifying my relationship with my son.
My granddaughter often recites “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” As a result, her grades at school have improved. She initially fell short by a few marks during her university entrance exam. She has now graduated and is preparing for postgraduate studies.
My relative's grandson Xiao Yu had suffered from headaches since he was young. Xiao Yu and his grandmother came to visit me one day. He was going to the local hospital to seek medical treatment. I asked him to recite “Falun Dafa is good,” and he started reciting the phrase diligently.
When he came back from the hospital, his grandmother told me that he had shouted “Falun Dafa is good” in public while waiting for his turn to be examined by the doctor. I recalled seeing the sky turn red earlier that day. I knew this was related to Xiao Yu's actions.
I had a dream later on. I saw the branches and leaves on a small tree blowing back and forth in strong winds. After a while the wind stopped. I looked at the tree and it was growing straight and strong. My instincts told me that Master had cured Xiao Yu's illness.
I called my relative and she excitedly told me, “Xiao Yu has recovered without any medication or injections!” Xiao Yu is now about to graduate from the university, and he has been healthy ever since this incident.
I was placed under house arrest for two months when China hosted the Olympics in 2008. Members of the neighborhood committee came to watch me every day. I wondered how I could clarify the truth to them.
Master saw my heart and gave me the wisdom. I told the officer how good Falun Dafa was and he accepted the truth. I often also sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the interference in other dimensions. Gradually they changed their attitudes. One of them even told me that I was a good person.
I once took a bag full of informational materials about Falun Dafa to my hometown. On the way I saw a huge flower in front of the car. No one saw it except me. I knew that Master was encouraging me to clarify the truth.
I told everyone I met in my hometown the truth about Falun Dafa and gave them informational materials. My relatives and former neighbors enjoyed listening to the things I told them. One of them said to me, “You are doing a great thing.”
My granddaughter believes that Dafa is good. She persuaded her aunt and her aunt's daughter to renounce the CCP. In return for her good deed, she passed the university entrance exams with flying colors and found a high-paying job after graduation.
My family comes to visit me every Saturday. I take the opportunity to tell them about the beauty of Falun Dafa. Everyone listens to my words quietly. My family get along peacefully with one another.
My husband and I have lived on our own for many years. My husband supports my cultivation and clarifying the truth. He is in his eighties and has always enjoyed good health. He never complains when practitioners come to visit me, or when they ask me to go out to clarify the truth with them. He takes the initiative to help with the household chores so that I have more time to do what Dafa disciples should do.
Since I have Master, I feel like the most fortunate person on earth. I'm truly happy when people accept the truth about Dafa and quit the CCP.
My family members are healthy and financially stable. We are blessed by Master's infinite grace. Words cannot express my gratitude to Master. Dear Master, everyone in my family thanks you and Dafa for their blessings!
